After a five-year hiatus, male sex icon Won Bin made a comeback to the big screen with his role in "Mother", which was released in Korea back in May 28. Although the movie is still undergoing promotions abroad, the ambitious actor has made plans to star in another upcoming film called "Ahjussi".
This action-drama film will feature Won Bin in the role of--as the title suggests--an 'ahjussi', or middle-aged man in Korean. He meets a woman who opens her heart to him and develops a relationship with him. The character is said to reveal a deeper side to Won Bin's already versatile acting abilities.
Jeong Beom Lee, whose previous works include 2006 film "Cruel Winter Blues", will direct the upcoming film. His co-cast, however, has not been cast yet.
The filming for "Ahjussi" will begin at the end of this year and is set to be released in summer 2010.
Even though the Asian heartthrob will be playing the role of a middle-aged man, he still possesses a heartwarming smile to make an entire nation of girls swoon. Homeboy must eat Lucky Charms for breakfast every morning because, even after 32/33 years, he's still looking magically delicious!
