Reasons for Big Bang and G-Dragon Dream Concert TV Broadcast Absence
A Dream Concert staff tried to explain the situation, "When we signed the contract with YG Entertainment earlier, they had actually opted for the non-broadcast clause. There was no problem with that absolutely." YG Entertainment said, "We felt that it was not important whether the performance was broadcast or not, it was the participation that mattered. Besides it's a written rule in YG Entertainment that the non-broadcast clause is enforced when it's not a promotion period."
But that statement sounded ambigious especially when their performance at the recent Asia Song Festival in September without Daesung was aired. Furthermore, why was G-Dragon affected? Isn't he currently in the midst of promotions? And what about 2NE1 then? Aren't they currently on hiatus, preparing for their new album?
YG Entertainment explained further, "Although Big Bang performed as five on stage last night, Daesung who has just recovered from his injuries wasn't at his best condition, meaning that the overall performance level of Big Bang was affected as well. Thus, we decided to opt for a non-broadcast since Big Bang couldn't show off their best."

You won’t see Big Bang on the Dream Concert broadcast?
No, Big Bang didn't do anything wrong, instead YG Entertainment put in a special request that their performance be cut out from the broadcast. There's no word on the reason why they put in such a request, but people can speculate. Maybe because Daesung was rusty from a long layoff and they didn't want people to see Big Bang with a less than stellar performance? Your guess is as good as mine, it's quite unfortunate because many people wanted to see Daesung and Big Bang perform together... it's been a while, I guess that'll have to wait.

Daesung To Appear At 2009 Dream Concert Afterall
YG Entertainment had only said yesterday that although Daesung had recovered from his injuries in the car accident, he's not yet in 100% condition. But with Daesung requesting to perform and the fans hoping to see Big Bang together as five on stage again, YG Entertainment has relented and has decided that Daesung will perform on stage tomorrow night.
A YG representative said, "Although Daesung's participation is now confirmed for the 2009 Dream Concert, we have not decided on how many songs he will perform to since he's really not fully fit yet. Big Bang will be performing two songs and there's also a joint collaboration with their juniors, 2NE1 as well."

Big Bang’s Daesung at 2009 Dream Concert?
Big Bang member Daesung, who was in a car crash nearly 2 months ago, has been unable to join his fellow Big Bang members in their public performances, most recently at the 2009 Asia Song Festival and Idol Big Show.
The singer was discharged a little over 2 weeks after his accident and has reportedly been recuperating well. But will he be able to return on stage for the 2009 Dream Concert, which is just two days from now?
An official representative of Big Bang said, "Daesung is not yet in tip top condition to perform dancing on stage and it might be difficult for him to attend the upcoming 'Dream Concert'. However, we're still watching over him and it's not yet set in stone."
The future prospect doesn't look too good, and if worse comes to worse and he is not able to perform, Big Bang will perform at the concert on the 10th without him as a 4 man group with only G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P., and Seungri.

Big Bang Back on Korean TV After 10 Months Absence
The five-member group will come back as part of the upcoming Chuseok special on SBS. This is a surprise appearance since they were not supposed to have Korean activities for most of 2009.
As many already knew, G-Dragon and 2NE1 performed on a special stage for the highly anticipated Idol Big Show, an episode to be revealed on October 3rd. This is a performance unlike any you have seen before! Are you excited?
As this is a pre-recorded performance, it has been reported that G-Dragon performed "Breathe", "Hello" with Dara, and "1 Year Station". Then 2NE1 followed up with "Fire" drum music/rhythmic version as well as "Let's Go Party" from their 1st Mini Album. "Let's Go Party" has not been performed live yet so that's definitely something to look forward to.
Then the surprise arrival of Big Bang had many fans shocked, because no one had any idea they were coming. They were there to support their fellow YG Family members, 2NE1 and their brother G-Dragon. The group sang "Last Farewell" with 2NE1 as well as their song, "How Gee".
Wait till October 3rd for more coverage!

Daesung films for Family Outing
On September 21st and 22nd, Daesung was on Jeju Island and filmed for Family Outing. A YG Entertainment representative said, "He didn't really participate in the parts involving a lot of physical activity. He just talked and did dialogue with his fellow members on Family Outing."
It's good to see that's he back on the show! Hopefully Daesung recovers fully soon so he can participate in all those fun Family Outing events once again and also with his fellow Big Bang members. Also, check out the Big Bang VIP Forums.

Big Bang Steams Up Elle Korea
Drenched in sepia and sexiness, this photo spread is enough to cause chronic hemorrhages on the spot. If you thought the leather bad boy look was hot on T.O.P, try translating that to the other members of Big Bang as well.
Take a breather before scrolling down. Ready?
Clips of this shoot were also featured on Big Bang TV way back when, check out the boys in action starting at 1:01. Check out 2:36 for some... Big Bang kinkiness? (Thanks chaoticpse8!)
Fangirlism aside, I'm glad we get to see Big Bang as a whole group again - with all of their individual activities, such fivesome sightings are rarer. Which shot is your favorite?

Daesung Unable to Perform at Asia Song Festival
After suffering a nose fracture then undergoing surgery last month, Daesung is on the road to recovery - however, he will stay off the live stage for a bit longer. Fortunately, Daesung's other activities, including his anticipated return to Family Outing, haven't been changed, and he will make his full return very soon.
Despite ASF's killer line-up, these notable absences will not be overlooked, first with Kangin of Super Junior, and now Daesung. Though the likelihood of any more drop-outs is unlikely (knock on wood), the presence of these two on stage will be missed.

The secrets of Big Bang’s past: revealed!
We reported earlier that all the members of Big Bang would be on MBC's The Secret Star. The episode is out and the pasts of all the Big Bang members has been revealed! Things you've never imagined and things they've always been too embarrassed of and wanted to keep buried forever have now been exposed!
The show goes back into each member's past and interviews people like the member's teachers and peers to find out what they were like before they debuted, and the facts are quite interesting! Stuff like how G-Dragon was not a normal kid and was already writing rap lyrics since he was 4 back in '92, and how the sexy and charismatic TOP overcame his obesity.
The stories will make you laugh and be astonished in this exclusive 5 part episode of Big Bang's past!
