SHINee’s Minho Reveals New Album Look + New Teaser

shinee

We reported earlier on news of SHINee's new come back song "Ring Ding Dong" and of Onew's new look.

Concept photos of Minho's new look has now been released, raising anticipation and eagerness for the upcoming album '2009, Year of Us'. It seems Minho hasn't made as big of a shift as Onew but he does definitely look more mature, dark, and charismastic. The single comes out in a few days on the 14th, with a performance on Music Bank on the 16th, and their album release on the 19th.

SHINee’s Coming Back With “Ring Ding Dong”

shinee

The five shining stars have been making headlines since they've shed their sugary sweet and colorful look, trading it for a brand new sharp and dark concept.

Netizens have been completely drawn to their 180° radical transformation and their comeback has left many fans scratching their heads, wondering where they are heading.

Oddly enough, despite the new concept, the name of their title track reels me back into the old, neon skinny jean wearing SHINee. Their title track off their upcoming album '2009, Year of Us' is called "Ring, Ding, Dong." Inspired by an African congo beat with the typical electronic touch, "Ring, Ding, Dong" is about the moment one falls in love, a ringing echoes in one's head. It seems SHINee's comeback will be a plethora of various flavors! Their comeback single will be released on various online music sites on the 14th and their comeback album will follow on the 19th. Fans should also anticipate their comeback stage on the 16th of this month on Music Bank!

Tracklist
1. Y.O.U.(Year Of Us)
2. Ring Ding Dong
3. Jo Jo
4. Get Down
5. SHINee Girl
6. 내가 사랑했던 이름

With the emergence of a brand new SHINee, will their drastic change in image help bring them to the top? Just need to wait a couple days more.

SHINee Returning With Mini Album

shinee

SHINee will be making a comeback after a 5 month long absence from the K-pop scene.

SHINee will release their new mini album titled "2009, Year of Us" on October 19th and start their promotions.

This will mark their third mini album with their last being, "Romeo" in May 2009. Expectations have gone high after their success with "Juliette", "Nuna, You're So Pretty", "Amigo", and "Love like Oxygen".

This mini album will contain a new SHINee style and show their individuality which will help differentiate them from other male idol groups. Not only that, they will also show off their hidden vocal talents. SM Entertainment stated, "We have finished recording the title song and had completed the music video filming on October 8th."

Pictures from their mini album pictorial will be revealed from the 9th.

So what do you think? Do you think SHINee has a number 1 song ahead of them or should SM focus on f(x) for now?

SHINee Are Boys On Top

shinee
As reported previously, SHINee did a modified version of their sunbaenim, BoA's song, Girls on Top and their version are called, Boys on Top as they performed that on MBC's Star Dance Battle Change this evening.

The song lyrics had been rewritten, containing their heartbreaking thoughts towards their pitiful position in the music scene these days. Yes, it's undeniable that boy groups are almost extinct with the non-stop rising of the girl groups. The lyric goes: "Are BEG, 4minute, Ka~ra, SNSD the only ones you care about?~" Guess it's time for fangirls to rise and cheer for these love deprived boys.

Love Encounters for Minho and Taemin on Star King

shinee
Warning: SHINee fangirls, please refrain from reading any further!

Earlier, we had an article about SHINee's Minho dressed up as an Egyptian Pharoah. But now, we have an update regarding Taemin's first kiss, which was stolen during the same filming of Star King!

So, who stole Taemin's first kiss?

Well, her name is Ever, but don't start jumping out of your seats just yet! Cause Ever is just a female robot. Ever is the world's first female robot singer, and she also happens to be Taemin's first kiss. But, believe it or not, Taemin isn't the first boy celebrity that she has kissed, because this robot has also kissed TVXQ's ChangMin!

Sigh, this robot's got more game than me.

This episode of Star King was sure full of romantic encounters for our SHINee boys! Minho gets seduced by some explicitly dancing females, then Taemin loses his first kiss to a female robot. I think it's about time I fly out to Korea and try out for Star King. Maybe I can try out as the girl who has got no talent, but is in love with Korean boys, yay!

SHINee’s Minho Transforms into the Pharaoh of Egypt

shinee
First "TVXQ" gargoyles and now SHINee's Minho as the Pharaoh of Egypt... it looks like Halloween is hitting us a few weeks early this year!

For this week's episode of Star King, photos have revealed that the boy group's "Flaming Charisma" made a transformation into the Prince of Egypt. Flanked by Choi Yoon Jung (27), 2003's Miss Korea & "Belly Dance Queen", and Ha Na Kyung (25), "World Miss Congeniality", the three pulled off a reportedly spectacular performance, showing off skills that enamored both MC Kang Hodong and the rest of the audience. The performance is about two girls that attempt to charm this sexy prince to their side. Talk about femme fatales and fatal attraction... I guess the SHINee boys really do like their girls older!

Though this performance is characterized by its Egyptian overtones, SHINee's popular dancer edged in his own modern bboy touches into the story with a backup crew to boot. As MC Hodong expressed, this performance is truly about the art of dance. Minho for one is said to have received a standing ovation, and even got some of the guests to twist their hips 180º to imitate (or attempt to imitate) the bboy team's moves. With the combination of Minho's dance crew, the appearance of two battling beauty queens, a dance crew and some "breakdancing" guests, not to mention Minho in pharaoh garb, this is an episode to look out for.

Not gonna lie, that photo is enough to make me curious. This episode will air on Saturday at 6:20PM so stay tuned.

SHINee likes to break things in latest CF

shinee
SHINee has a pretty funny advertisement for Oddugi Chips called "Break / Break or Smash / Smash (뿌셔뿌셔)." Each of the members of SHINee take a turn smashing the chips with a special keyword which includes: "KNEE-KICK, POPPIN', STOMP, WAVE, and KRUMP."

I know the Japanese are known to have crazy and outrageous CF (Commercial Films) but Korea are having some crazy ones these days as well. Check it out below:

SHINee Does BoA, After School Does 2PM For Chuseok

20091001_shineeas_572

With all these extravagant events being planned for the biggest Korean holiday of the year, Chuseok, SHINee and After School are to join the festivity.

Those who are completely clueless asking what the heck is going on, Chuseok, equivalent to Thanksgiving, is just around the corner! Due to the scale of its importance to the Korean culture, many broadcasting companies have already arranged a line-up of stellar casting of idols to perform on stage as a celebration.

While some may hop in tears that their favorite idols are back, some may yawn from the fact that they've already seen their fancy stages thousands of times on the television. For those who are yawning, you better get ready to be amazed.

The heartthrobs of all noonas, SHINee recently finished their filming for MBC Chuseok Special "Star Dance Battle Change!". Instead of their typical "Noona's Pretty" or "Juliette", they performed 'Boys On Top', a remake of BoA's 'Girls On Top'. They decided to rewrite the song with lyrics containing their heartbreaking thoughts toward their pitiful position in the music area these days. Yes, it is undeniable that the boy groups are now nearly extinct with the nonstop rising of the girl groups.

credit: dirah9302

20091001_shineedance_1

The lyric follows: "Nowadays, even girls forces the girl groups~ Are BEG, 4minute, Ka~ra, SNSD the only ones you care about?~" Aw! I guess it's time for our girl fans to rise up again and cheer for these love deprived boys.

Well, here's some good news for the oppas out there.

After School performed on the stage alongside SHINee as well, but they decided to take it to another new step. They resurrected the 2PM's "Again and Again" stage flawlessly. It is reported that they dressed up in boyish stage outfits, reenacting the stage regardless of their gender. The girls' unbelievable talents in break dancing had no trouble surprising the audience as well as the fellow celebrities.
Photobucket
Viewers may feel nostalgic while watching this stage, desperately wishing for our fallen Jaebeom to come back and show the true original. However, it seems like the viewers aren't the only ones wanting for their return. GaHee was seen on this stage with a writing on her arm saying 'THIS IS FOR YOU GUYS'.

Star Dance Battle Change! airs on 4th October through MBC.

SHINee’s Onew shines at 2nd Japan Fan Meeting

shinee

Earlier today, SHINee held their 2nd ever fan meeting in Japan at the Osaka Kousei Nenkin Kaikan Hall in Osaka. More than 2,000 fans packed the facility to get a glimpse of SHINee. No videos or photos of the event have been released as of yet but some audio is being shared by one of the fans.

It seems one particular audio stood out amongst the others and it was Onew singing a beautiful rendition of "Forever More" by Ingram James. I used to think Jonghyun had the best voice out of the group but Onew is quickly coming up and challenging him for the top spot. Thanks to Raziel for the tip. Also check out the SFI Forums!

The first episode of Dream Team S2 is Here!

20090907_dream_572

Finally, the first episode of the long-awaited, highly-anticipated KBS variety show Dream Team season two has been released!

We reported earlier that the second season of Dream Team would return after its first season in 10 years! Fresh faces were added to the show to much delight of SFI and 2ONEDAY.

The group of guests were divided into two; the 'old team' consisting of comedian Shin Jung Hwan, G.O.D's Danny and actor Byun Woo Min, and the 'young team' consisting of 2PM's Junho, SHINee's Minho, and actor Song Joong Ki. Lee Sang In, who is recognized as one of the top players from season one, even makes a guest appearance as a coach to assist the new members.

The show begins with both teams participating in a 100-meter dash, in which each man's running ability is tested. The 'young team' also challenges Jo Sung Mo, the undefeated champ from season one, in an intense competition of pole vaulting. The Dream Team then advances to Incheon Water Park to duke it out with a special unit of the HaeYang police force. A bold Minho even picks a fight with one of the police officers, but, of course, it's all just fun and games.

To the delight of Karaholics, girl group Kara also makes an appearance to celebrate the comeback of the show and to help select the 'best man' from the Dream Team.

Remember to wipe your drool after watching the action and testosterone packed episode below.
The videos will be updated with subs accordingly.
