20091009_MBLAQ_performs_in_Rains_tour_572
After a long wait, Rain and J.Tune Entertainment boy group, MBLAQ has finally released their teaser to the MV of their debut title song "Oh Yeah".

This 40s teaser is just the first of the teasers that they will release. The song is unique, and the teaser gives a black & white sensational feeling, which fits because they are called, "M Black."

MBLAQ had recently, on the 9th and 10th, performed for Rain's Legend of Rainism concert tour," where it was said that they were impressive. But because there were no official videos or pictures of their performance, it brought up many curiosities amongst the fans. This, and the fact that it was revealed that Sandara's brother was in MBLAQ, created a lot of anticipations by many fans, as they were the most browsed topic in portal sites amongst netizens through the week.

I think the teaser teased me great, as I can't wait to see the official MV!

Stay tuned, as they will release their song on the 14th, as well as debut on the 15th through Mnet's M! Countdown.

MBLAQ Impresses at Rain’s Concert

20091011_MBLAQrainsconcert_572
After 2 very long years, Rain's first boy group, MBLAQ, has finally made their debut! Taking the stage before an audience of 8000 fans, MBLAQ opened Rain's concert on the 9th for the "Legend of Rainism" tour and successfully performed 3 songs. After taking a look at these fancams from the concert, it's safe to say these boys made Rain proud as they danced and sang their hearts out before a roaring crowd. The boys performed their title song "Oh Yes," "Good Love," and member Jung Byung Hee performed his very own solo.

Unfortunately, the only fancams available are each less than one minute in length, but hopefully they will be enough to pique your interest! Much love to rainyyonme for the videos and pictures.

Rain showed a lot of satisfaction as he met with the reporters in his prep room after the concert. He commented, "MBLAQ has been preparing for 2 years. They have great talent in singing, dancing, and rapping. Compared to my debut, I think their skills are better than mine."

Rain commented, "Looking at MBLAQ's performance, I think I was more anxious. ... I can now understand Park Jin Young hyung's feelings. He said he would come to tomorrow's (10th) concert, so he can evaluate MBLAQ."

October Will Be A Boyfest

20091009_boyfest_572

After a long period of having just girl groups in the battlezone, we will finally have a massive amount of male singers debuting or making their comebacks. Although I am sad to see my lovely ladies leaving, I do agree that the time for male entertainers have come.

Taeyang
Photobucket

Our R&B master is coming back on October 15th with a new song called "Where U At". Taeyang was the first member of Big Bang to have a solo album, and it was very successful, with top hits "Prayer" and "Look at Me". The lyrics of "Where U At" is about Taeyang finding his true love in the future, as he did not have a girlfriend yet in real life. Teddy produced this song (also produced 2NE1's I Don't Care, Fire, Lollipop, and Taeyang's first album) so it is expected to be very successful.

SHINee
shinee

SHINee will be releasing their 3rd Mini Album "2009, Year of Us" on October 19th. It's been 5 months since they released their "Romeo" Mini Album, and it is about time for them to come back. With hit singles "Noona is so Pretty", "A.MI.GO", "Love like Oxygen", and "Juliette", fans, netizens, and critics are expecting an outstanding album. They are also having a change in their style and concept so we won't need to see them in rainbow skinny jeans again!

B2ST (Boys 2 Search the Top)

A new boy band, with members who already have a decent fanbase, is about to debut. Jang Hyun Seung, who was eliminated from Big Bang and Yoon Doo Joon, who was eliminated from One Day are members of the group. AJ, who previously made a solo debut, Poppin' Dragon, who was in boy band Xing and newcomers Yang Yo Seob and Son Dong Woon are members as well. This group has high expectations from netizens all over Korea. Their first title song will be introduced in their Documentary MTV "B2ST" Episode 8.

A 9 member boy band is about to debut as well. Their talent has been aknowledged by Jewelry, VOS, and other celebrities. They have recently stated that their goal is 100,000 members in their official fanclub.

MBLAQ (Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality)

The 5 member group, who is under worldstar Rains company, is about to debut as well. This is Rains first group and he has worked very hard to produce them. They have recently released their teaser poster and has released what their group name meant. They will be opening up for Rains concert "Legend of Rainism" on October 9th and 10th.

MBLAQ Releases Teaser Poster

20091009_mblaq_main
Looks like the hot new boy group raised under Rain's (Bi) wing is going to be here soon.

Although I'm not sure what to think of the title of their new single, "Just BLAQ," (it almost screams for some satirical politically incorrect joke) I guess that the group is going for the usual Big Bang-esque manliner and open shirt concept. It's not like the fangirls are complaining though.

The teaser poster, which was posted all around Seoul, features a vampire-ish concept and has certainly sparked interest among Koreans.

MBLAQ is set to debut with a teaser at Rain's "Legend of Rainism" concert tour on October 9th at the Olympic Park Stadium.

"Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality's" debut performance is scheduled to be on a few days later on October 14th.

The horrible acronym of a name just brings back memories though doesn't it? (High Five of Teenagers, Ubiquitous Korean International/Idol Super Star, etc.)

More Updates on Rain’s Boy Band MBLAQ

20090920_moremblaq_572
Not long after a few pictures of Rain's upcoming boy band MBLAQ in NYLON magazine was released, J. Tune Entertainment shared some more information about the members in a recent phone call with Newsen on the 20th.

It was made known that Jang Goon (real name: Jung Byung Hee) was previously the vocalist of a three-member group called TYKEYS, under TY Entertainment. He made his debut back in 2007 with fellow members Soo (vocals) and Hyun Jeong (rap).

Another piece of news which I touched upon earlier, concerned Bang Chulyong and his older sister / actress Go Eun Ah (Bang Hyojin). Netizens even managed to dig up old photos of the adorable siblings on Go Eun Ah's Cyworld and have already labeled him as a Hong Ki look-a-like.

J. Tune Entertainment also disclosed each of the members' birth dates, as follows:
Jang Goon: November 6, 1987
Kimg Sang Bae: April 29, 1991
Yang Seung Ho: October 16, 1987
Lee Joon: February 7, 1988
Bang Chulyong: March 10, 1991

While their company created stage names for the other 4 members (Jung Byung Hee, Kim Sang Bae, Yang Seungho and Bang Cheolyoung) Lee Changseon's stage name will remain as Lee Joon. Their stage names and also the meaning of the group's name MBLAQ will be revealed soon.

In a matter of hours that the photoshoot from NYLON magazine was released, MBLAQ became the most searched item on various portal sites. Needless to say, just the reputation of being Rain's first male idol group has earned them much attention from fans and media alike. Rain is not only their producer, but is also in charge of their choreography as well. Can you say JYP v2.0?

I, for one, am relieved to know that some of the members are actually older than me so I can visually rape these boy toys without feeling like a pedo. Hurrah!

As we wait for more updates on this highly-anticipated group and the release of their first single in mid-October, check out some videos of Jang Goon during his TYKEYS days below.

Who’s the MBLAQ member related to?

20090918_mblaqbangchulyong
It turns out one of the members of MBLAQ is related to a celebrity. For those of you who missed the news, MBLAQ is Rain's new 5-member boy band.

Anyway, MBLAQ member Bang Chulyong's older sister is actress Go Eun Ah (real name: Bang Hyojin). See the resemblance?

And if that's not enough, Go Eun Ah had posted photos of them in the past via her Cyworld, in which Netizens stated that he looked a lot like Lee Hongki. Which he definitely does!
