Kara To Make Drama Cameo Appearance

It has been reported that 5 member girl group, Kara, will be making a cameo appearance for a drama.

Kara will appear in the the first episode of MBC drama Hero (tentative title) which will premiere on 18th November. The two main characters of the drama Lee Junki and Kim Min Jung will be cheering for Kara at their concert.

A representative for Kara stated, "Although it is not completely official, we are optimistic about their cameo appearance which will be shown on the 18th of next month."

Kara will soon be ending their promotions for Wanna and Mister in mid-October. But they will not be idling for long as they will go straight into preparation for their new single album, scheduled for release a month later in mid-November.

Lee Junki Returns as a Journalist

Having been seen more recently as a singer across Asia, many fans were wondering about when will we see Lee Junki as an actor again. Well, that wait will soon be over.

After performing in Taiwan on the 26th, which concluded his Asia tour, he arrived back in Korea on the 28th after promoting the launch of his new photo book on the 27th.

It seems like he's restless when it comes to work, for he joined the filming of his new drama without any breaks having been in three different countries in 3 days. He finished his first filming session with success by raising up the atmosphere with his banter. After all, Lee Junki has the reputation of being the "Clown" among his fellow actors.

Lee Junki will be making a return on TV as a role of a journalist, Jin Do Hyuk, for the new MBC Drama, Hero (temporary title). In the story, Jin Do Hyuk is a man who has got nothing but just his passion and optimism towards his life as a "third-class" newspaper reporter. I don't know about you guys, but I don't think anyone besides Junki can digest such character. Kim Min Jung will play his love interest although she was the second choice after Han Ji Min dropped out due to personal reasons.

Lee Junki revealed after his filiming, "Although the holiday isn't that long, I hope all of you guys have a great Chuseok with your friends and family. May the happiness be with you." Aw, how thoughtful of him!

Lee Junki's new drama will unveil their first episode on November 18th, succeeding the current drama "Heading to the Ground" led by Yunho.

Lee Junki Pays For His Own Concert In Taiwan

Hallyu star, Lee Junki held his 2009 J Style Taiwan Concert Tour at the Taipei International Convention Center on 26th September. But after it was discovered before the concert that the local Taiwanese organizer had ran off with the money for the concert, as Junki and his management had to fork out money from their own pockets to make sure that the concert went ahead, without disappointing the fans.

During the concert, Lee Junki did everything by himself and his dedicated performance had his fans clapping his every more. One of the unique performance saw him doing a mask dance, pushing the concert to a climax.



This Taiwan concert was supposed to be the last stop for Lee Junki's Asia concert tour. Lee Junki arrived on 22nd September to a great reception from his legion of fans, and he also greeted them in Mandarin. But things started falling apart, when it was discovered that their Taiwanese counterparts had ran away with the money, that was for the concert. The venue was not even booked!

Junki was supposed to have a concert in Taiwan last September, but it was later cancelled due to a typhoon. But Junki promised fans that he will return and he specially made Taiwan the last stop for his concert tour this year, to fulfil his promise. Despite this unfortunate setback, Junki and his management agency did not falter in adversity, managing to rent the venue, stage equipment, etc at the very last minute to make sure that the concert went on as scheduled.

Lee Junki for Singles

Singles have revealed a preview of Lee Junki's photoshoot in Bali, Indonesia recently.

Photographer, Park Young Soon who collaborated with Lee Junki for the shoot, praised the latter for his ability to portray a variety of different expressions, making it feel like he was filming for a drama rather than just taking pictures. He felt that the photoshoot will help Singles sell a few more additional copies of their October issue because of Lee Junki's unique charisma and popularity.

The setting for Lee Junki's photshoot was at a famous restaurant in Bali. According to a restaurant's representative, no photo taking was allowed in the restaurant. But taking into account Lee Junki's popularity in Asia, they broke their rule for Junki to use their restaurant and hopes that it will help to promote their restaurant in return.

Lee Jun Ki and Han Ji Min are Strange Heroes

It's been decided that Lee Jun Ki and Han Ji Min will leading MBC's new Wednesday/Thursday drama Strange Heroes. This drama will air in early November and take the place of the Yunho-led Heading to the Ground.

Strange Heroes is about a genius who succeeds in everything that he attempts; however, the death of his loved one brings him down to rock bottom and he lives a harsh life. He fights his way through his difficulties to become a legend in the end. It seems like a typical Korean drama, but I like the cast.

Lee Junki is a Man in New York

Lee Junki's newest spread on Alllure will be a whopping 14 pages long! 14 pages? That is unheard of! The theme is "A Man in New York", and Lee Junki himself directed the pictorial. As the title says, the pictorial took place in New York City. I have to say, he does not look attractive in all the pictures, but overall, this man seems to be getting hotter and hotter everyday.

Lee Junki’s MV for Soliloquize

I thought J Style was the last time Lee Junki would sing, however, I was wrong because he's back with his second music video for Soliloquize (혼잣말).

The song sounds totally different from J Style, which was an upbeat dance song. This song is mid-tempo, softer sounding, and is much, MUCH less dramatic than J Style, which was just a little too dramatic and intense for my tastes. No Lee Junki dancing in this music video girls, sorry. However, you can concentrate more on his "singing" and focus on his pretty face!
