SS501 to release album in September

Contrary to earlier reports, SS501 will now release their new album in September instead of October!

DSP Media said on the 17th, "Kim Hyun Joong headed straight for home from Kimpo Airport yesterday afternoon, after returning to Seoul from Japan where he had been warded for the H1N1 virus. Unlike what was reported earlier, he will be recuperating at home."

They also revealed information about SS501's new album, "SS501 will release their new album in the latter part of September instead of October. This decision was taken after discussions with Hyun Joong and the other SS501 members. We had originally planned to delay the release of the new album because of Hyun Joong's illness but he has requested to follow the original schedule upon his discharge on the 15th."

Looks like it will be just a few days of rest for Hyun Joong afterall.

Kim Hyung Joon Reassures Fans

After hearing the news of SS501's leader being diagnosed with H1N1, it's only natural that fans would become very concerned about the future of their leader and his group.

Fortunately for fans and concerned netizens, fellow member Kim Hyung Joon was present at the ‘Find it! Green Gold’ press conference and appeased any worries. He stated, "We are absolutely fine now. I was really surprised when I heard of the news that Hyun Joong hyung was infected with H1N1 influenza. I knew that Hyun Joong hyung could not return from Japan because of H1N1 influenza through news reports. Even though we didn’t talk (over the phone) to each other, I heard he is getting better in health. His condition is getting much better and seems that he will be able to resume his activities within 2 weeks’ time."

So the recovery time has been reduced from one month down to two weeks? That's almost too good to be true, but let's remain optimistic! We all wish for Kim Hyun Joong's speedy recovery and return to Korea!

In the meantime, magnae Kim Hyung Joon, along with Super Junior's Shin Dong, 2AM's Jo Kwon, and Fly to the Sky's Brian, will be hosting a brand new SBS variety program called 'Find it! Green Gold' focusing on the envirornment. For those interested, the show will air on September 14.

SS501 Kim Hyung Joon will be a Superstar

SS501 member Kim Hyung Joon has been casted in a new Hallyu drama called "Superstar." Alongside Hyung Joon will be many other big time artists, including, Shinhwa's Jun Jin, god's Son Ho Young, Bae Seul Gi, Babyvox's Shim Eun Jin, Ahn Jae Mo, Lee Tae Sung and Seo Ji Young. There are even more who have not been announced as of now, but there will be a total of 30 singers.

The drama's purpose is to spread Hallyu even further across Asia and provide an opportunity for singers/artists to act and help break the stereotype that artists cannot act.

The drama will consist of 10 episodes and a total of 10 famous directors have come together to co-produce it. Superstar has already been scheduled to air in Thailand, southeast Asian countries, and Japan later this year.

SS501 for Le Coq Sportif, fall photoshoot

Earlier in the year SS501 did a summer shoot for Le Coq Sportif and now they're back with a fall photoshoot. This shoot's theme was 'Play Together' and it certainly does look like they're having fun. The clothes themselves are bright, vintage style clothing with an 80's feel that look pretty good on the boys.

It looks like neon colors colors are slowly dying out though, so wear them while you can folks!

SS501’s first Asia tour concert kicks off in Seoul

Popular 5 member group SS501 has started their Persona concert tour. This will be their first Asia tour concert ever and the first concert they've had in two years. With the release of their second album coming up, the boys performed 5 of the new songs especially for their fans before the album hits stores. The Seoul concerts are being held on the 1st through the 2nd and they plan to go to Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan throughout the entire tour.

The Boys Over Flowers love continues though, as fellow cast members Lee Min Ho, Kim Bum, and Goo Hye Sun were at the concert cheering on the group. Looks like the concert was a hit though and good luck to the boys on the rest of their tour.
