Ever since the broadcast of the premiere episode of SBS "You're Beautiful," the drama's OST has been receiving a lot of attentions from the viewers.
How much of a hit was it? Well just a few day ago, the 40 second preview of one of their OST song, "Promise," which was a different version of the original one as it was sung by Lee Hongki, was released on the 6th in their drama homepage. Although it was just a 40 second preview, they attracted 500 listeners to the message boards in just 3 hours.
But wait, there more.
One of their OST song, "Still (여전히)," has been receiving a lot of attention ever since the premiere. Because of their hot reactions, they have decided to release the song in online music portal sites earlier than it was originally scheduled, as the suppose-to-be-released-on-14th was changed and released on the 8th.
The OST tracks which is sang by the in-drama-only-band, A.N.JELL, is expected to get more attention as the drama progresses.
This is great news for them, but do you guys think it is possible for their OSTs to become more popular than the drama itself? Well in my opinion and looking at the past OST-hit-dramas, the drama itself has to be a hit in order for the OSTs to become hits.

Lee Hongki Does SNSD’s Genie
"You're Beautiful" has prepared a total of 7 MV's in all, which were filmed through 6 days and nights. The parody music videos will be used as a epilogue, being shown after the ending of each episode of "You're Beautiful," right before the preview scenes for the next episode. Here is the list of parodies they'll be performing: Seo Taiji and the Boy's "I Know", Roo'Ra's "Angel Who Lost A Wing", HOT's "Candy", DJ.DOC's "Run To You", Crying Nut's "Let's Ride A Horse", Fin.K.L's "Forever Love", and of course SNSD's "Tell Me Your Wish."
Park Shin Hye, Jang Geun Suk, Lee Hongki, Jung Yong Hwa, Bae Geu Rin, and Choi Soo Eun have all practiced the choreography hard and they will show off their dancing skills, as well as showcase different hairstyles for each MV. Lee Hongki, who will take SNSD Jessica's role in "Tell Me Your Wish", commented, "I started preparing before the filming of MV by looking at some of the videos." But that's not all... he'll be wearing skinny pants and 7cm high heels!
The leader of the People choreography team, Kim Jin Won, complimented them, saying, "They learned the choreography while also improvising it. They learned quite fast so I was able to teach them while also enjoying it myself."
SNSD's Tiffany is said to have sent a encouraging video message to the team, saying, "I was surprised because both Lee Hongki, who turned into ice princess Jessica, and Jang Geun Suk, who turned into Yuna was really pretty." "I am looking forward to the drama when it starts."
It will be curious to see which of the premiering drama's: SBS's "You're Beautiful," (premieres October 7th) KBS 2TV's "Iris" (premieres October 14th), and MBC's "Hero" (premieres November 18th) wins the competition, as they will all be going head-to-head as Wed-Thurs dramas.
Adding these little touches will surely bring more enjoyment to the viewers. I can't wait to see Lee Hongki and Jang Geun Suk, dressing into a SNSD! My list of "why-I-must-see-this-drama" just increased!
Stay tuned, as the first episode will be broadcasted today.

[MV Teaser] F.T. Island’s making it rain in Japan
The short teaser was released yesterday, giving Primadonnas a taste of their new single and a whole lot of eye candy. Besides Hongki's incredible vocals, the track reminded me of the band's debut album, Cheerful Sensibility. "Barae" was on repeat for me but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who was missing F.T. Island's rock ballads. The 5-member band previously released two singles in Japan (one including an English track), but this new single appears to be a lot more promising. The single is set to be released on October 21st. If you can't wait that long just keep hitting that replay button.

Star’s Sketch Dream Chuseok Special Wrap-Up
It was a pre-recorded show but it didn't fail in looking fresh and entertaining. Two teams would go against each other each round and the last one standing, the MVP, would win a gift card for shopping and Korean BBQ set.
Bada sang a cover of a song done originally by an Australian singer named Kylie Minogue, Chae Yeon sang Uhm Jung Hwa's "Invitation", F.T.Island was missing their frontman Hongki but they didn't disappoint when JaeJin sang "Hey Jude" by the Beatles, 4minute sang Diva's "Why are you calling me?", JunJin and Minwoo teamed up to sing a Michael Jackson classic, "Dangerous", and lastly Kimg Jong Suh sang a song by the famous band Queen.
After performances were completed by each team in a round, they would have to fill in the blanks to questions such as, "To become a star I _________." or "Something that changed about me after I became famous is that _________."
To this question Namolla Family's Kim Jae Woo said that at his audition to become a comedian he lied that his mother had died. He pretended to be doing the auditon for his mother. When asked how his mother passed away he said, "She sold her best cards in Go-Stop(Korean poker)." Then the judges told him that that kind of jokes were already done by Park Mi Sun.
I think you can see that this special was definitely a show to watch.
Here is the clip of JaeJin singing "Hey Jude".

Also check out 4minute singing their hit song "Muzik" as well as their cover of Diva's "Why are you calling me?".

Lee Hongki To Continue F.T. Island Activities While Acting
Having recently been confirmed for an acting role in SBS idol drama, You're Beautiful, premiering on 7th October, Lee Hongki will still be continuing his activities with his group, F.T. Island. Lee Hongki is playing the role of an overseas Korean from England called Kang On Yu/Jeremy.
According to F.T. Island's management, F&C Music, "Many fans were speculating about whether F.T. Island will halt their promotions for the time being after Lee Hongki was selected for 'You're Beautiful'. That is not true because F.T. Island will be having a Korea concert tour at the end of the year. In preparation, Lee Hongki will be rehearsing for that with his other F.T. Island members until then. So please wait in anticipation."
You're Beautiful will end around late November or early December.

SBS Releases “You’re Beautiful” Poster Version 2
Unlike the dreamy feel of the earlier poster, this new poster sees the four members of A.N.JELL, Park Shin Hye, Jang Geun Suk, Lee Hongki (FT Island) and Jung Yong Hwa (CN Blue) dressed up in stylish chic outfits, like singers attending a year-end awards ceremony. Besides them, we also get a glimpse of the supporting cast including UEE who plays a superstar, Kim In Kwon who plays a manager (the loser in Haeundae) plus two other girls.
For those of you who haven't been keeping up, A.N.JELL is the idol group that the entire drama will be based on. In fact, they are the top idol group, and since allkpop readers love their idol groups, I'm sure this drama will be a big hit with you all.
The first episode is set to air on October 7th, 2009.

SHINee and FT Island on Flower Boys Generation
Back in late August, SHINee and FT Island got together on MBC's Flower Boys Generation. The two boy bands go wild with each other and even emulate some dance moves such as Brown Eyed Girls "Abracadabra," doing impressions of transgendered Harisu, and much more. These guys surprised me and are pretty witty and quick on their feet.
I know it's been a while since this has aired but it's only been subbed recently, so you english speaking SHINee and FT Island fans should be able to enjoy these clips. Thanks to KPOPJJANG for sharing and ledoquyen90 for the videos. Also make sure to check out the Shineee.net forums.

Hongki’s Character in “You’re Beautiful” Revealed
Forget FT Island, Hongki's got a new band! As allkpop reported a few weeks ago, Hongki has hopped on the idol drama bandwagon, joining the cast of SBS's "You're Beautiful" as a member of the fictional pop group A.N.JELL.
More details about this singer's character have been revealed - Hongki will play Jeremy, the wealthy son of a British aristocrat and famous model. As a young, well-mannered adult, Jeremy helps maintain harmony in the band. Though Hongki's family history isn't akin to Jeremy's by any means, his experience with FT Island has helped him settle into his new role. "In reality, I'm active with an actual group, so it's easier to play the role of a bright idol character. Coach Hong Sung Chang also told me to be myself, which took off some pressure."
Hm, British-Korean... the idea's sure to please some fans, but does that mean Hongki will be speaking English with a British accent? I don't follow FT Island personally, but way back when, my first impression of Hongki was this:
How Hongki will juggle two accents (British and Korean) at once, I don't even know... perhaps (hopefully? unfortunately?) he'll just sit pretty & stick to Korean. And you never know - maybe his English has improved by now, but in that case, I'll need some proof for reassurance.
As for the rest of FT Island, are there any hard feelings about their lead singer leaving them for this role? "The other FT Island members have been supporting me and have shown interest. They also have passions for acting and have shown curiosity for my role."
As many Primadonna's know, this isn't Hongki's first acting role - in 2004, the idol was also cast in MBC's "Freezing Point" and has made cameos on "Unstoppable Marriage", "On Air" and "Style". And of course, who can forget his steamy role in Midsummer's Night Dream last month?
"When I'm a singer, I feel the thrill onstage; if I'm acting, I develop feelings on the screen," Hongki expressed about being a singer and actor. Luckily for fans, we'll get to see a taste of both in this drama as well as at the mini-concert happening today.
The cast for this anticipated drama includes Jang Geunsuk, Choi Ran (who played Hongki's mother in "Freezing Point"), Park Shin Hye, Jung Yonghwa, UEE, Jung Chan and many others.
"You Beautiful" will begin airing on October 7 at 9:55 on SBS, replacing "Swallow the Sun".
Meanwhile, FT Island is working on their third Japanese single, entitled "Raining" & to be released on October 21. Looks like Hongki will be juggling lots of work in the next few weeks!

F.T Island’s Jonghun shows Jaebeom support?
Even though F.T Island's Jonghyun almost broke my heart with the pictures from his upcoming Mnet Scandal, he mended it up with his updated Cyworld.
As most of you probably know, Jaebeom of 2PM has been receiving a lot of heat due to past comments on his Myspace. His fellow members have posted words of encouragement and assurance to fans on their cyworld but only to receive criticism from netizens. Despite this, Jonghun still posted a message on his cyworld:
"Isn't the world too scary? The past is the past...I understand the feeling of that person who is in trouble now...Fighting!"
It does not directly state that Jaebeom's the subject of his message but it is quite obviously geared towards him. It's nice to see other idol groups show support to their fellow celebrities in times of need.
If you're interested on how to show your own support for Jaebeom, visit our friends at 2OD for projects under their announcement box!

The Other Members of F.T. Island Can Sing?
Yes they can! Two members of F.T.Island, Lee Jae Jin and Choi Seung Hyun were guests on the show Challenge! 1000 Songs. Fans always see Hongki sing the whole song on stage but this time Hongki was not even present. The two stood on their own and sang very well. All the notes were hit and the only times they messed up was because they couldn't remember lyrics, not because their key was off. Even though Hongki outshines them a lot, they seem to maintain their talent. At the show, they flaunted all they've got.
They even rapped to 1TYM's Hot. They really pulled off the stage on their own and I'm so impressed. I knew F.T.Island was a band that couldn't dance and I thought the other four members played instruments for a reason but I guess they are all talented. It really shows what kind of basic skills you must have to become an idol.
Watch the videos of JaeJin and SeungHyun singing!
Thanks to ental and jinnienomuyeppo02 for the videos.
"Hot" Originally by 1Tym
"This Song" Originally by 2AM
"Coward" Originally by Buzz
"Love Leaves A Scent" Originally by Tei
"Wave" Originally by U.N.
"Because You Are My Girl" Originally by Lee Seung Gi
"I Know" Originally by Seo Taji
"Love Affection" Originally By Flower
I really hope to see all members of F.T.Island show all they got on stage in the future.
Thanks to Sarang for the tip

FT Island Mellows Out on Music Travel Lalala
For those that ever doubted FT Island's sheer skill with instruments, it's time for you to stop, take a listen, and be amazed. The boys recently filmed an episode of MBC's "Music Travel Lalala" and had the performance air today, where the boys showed their true musical prowess by taking former and current hits and managing to improve them even further.
The show is pretty well known for taking current hits of kpop and having artists perform a softer, more mellow rendition of a given hit, whether it be their own song or another artist's. Artists also have the chance to cover songs they most enjoy on the show as well. For this episode, FT Island perfomed a jazzy version of Yoo Jae Ha's hit "Because I Love You". Afterwards, a brief interview was taken, then it was back to the music with a soft rock version of their current hit single "I Hope." If you don't happen to enjoy mellow, but happen to love FT Island, you won't regret watching this! Enjoy the ear-candy.

Lee Hongki Talks About His Kind of Girl
F.T Island's Hongdangmu (that's "carrot"/"carrot-top" in Korean for you) Hongki revealed his preference in girls on MBC's World-Changing Quiz... And according to himself, he likes girls who are youthful and have aegyo. He also went on to say that age difference doesn't matter, and that he'd be okay with women who are around 27-28 years of age, though he's 20 years old (in Korean age) this year.
So for all you Hongki fans who were previously in turmoil over the fact that this FTI cutie was nearly a decade younger than you.... You still have a chance, confirmed by the man himself! Yay!
Or maybe he said this while thinking about how old Lee Hyori is? Hmmm....
