MBC’s “Creating Destiny” Kicks Off

Earlier in the week we reported that former S.E.S member Kim Eugene was tempted to go under the knife and briefly talked about the MBC weekend drama she's starring in, "Creating Destiny".

The story is about Hang Sang Eun (Eugene) who moves to Canada at a young age. She returns to Korea all grown up, presenting an American boyfriend to her family. As her parents had hopes of their daughter marrying someone Korean, they are not pleased with what she brings home. The family tries their best to set her up with Kim Yeo Joon played by Ki Tae Young, thus 'creating their destiny.'

Eugene Was Tempted To Go Under The Knife?

Former S.E.S member / idol turned actress Eugene has confessed that she is trying to fight off the temptation of getting plastic surgery.

The actress is currently shooting for a drama titled, "Creating Destiny," and said, "When I monitor myself from time to time I really get tempted to have surgery but I'm trying my hardest to resist it."

The 28 year old actress continued, "As I'm getting older, my skin is not the same as it used to be. I think I look less pretty in real life than on the television screen. Since it's my job to show my face on television, I cannot stop thinking about my physical appearance. At times when I look bad in pictures I say to myself, 'Should I fix my lips to be slightly bigger?'"

However, she mentioned that, "I have been strongly resisting the urge of having surgery and instead I am trying to become prettier by trying to lose weight. Even though I want to have surgery, I am afraid that the surgery might fail and ruin my face. I am currently restraining myself from eating meat and eating a lot more fruits and vegetables instead. "

Her last statement was, "I am not afraid of aging. Instead I am excited that I will soon become 30 years old. As I become older, I want to become a more mature actress and be different than everyone else."

I have to say I could not have been more proud of her as a fan. Eugene is a truly respectable actress and I hope for the best that her drama becomes a huge hit! I mean, she does not even need surgery. She is surely a natural beauty that stands out in the Korean entertainment world! And I know that South Korea has a reputation for being "plastic" but contrary to popular belief, South Korea is only ranked 27th when it comes to plastic surgery procedures per capita (19.654 per 100,000 people). Comparatively, Switzerland is tops (214.621 per 100,000 people), Hong Kong 6th (73.866 per 100,000 people), Taiwan 13th (43.889 per 100,000 people), Japan 18th (33.623 per 100,000 people), and the United States 19th (30.768 per 100,000 people). V.O.S to Return

It has been 3 months since V.O.S opted out of their contract with Star Empire to sign on with another company, ShinSaeng Management.

It was revealed that they will finally resume their activities, singing the theme OST song for MBC's upcoming weekend drama called, "Creating Destiny" (인연 만들기). In addition, Choi Hyun Joon will sing a solo for the LOVE theme song of the two main characters in the drama.

J-Born Entertainment, who is in charge of producing the OST, confidently commented, "V.O.S's soft and harmonious voice will 100% brighten up the pleasures of the families who are watching the drama."

The main characters will be played by actor/singer Eugene and Ki Tae Young.

"Creating Destiny" is adapted from a romance novel called "Finding Destiny", written by Hyun Go Woon. The PD will be Jang Geun Soo, which this is his second work with her, as they have worked together in the past in MBC's morning drama "1% Of Anything".

Thank goodness V.O.S is returning! They're so talented and it will be great to hear their voices once again! MBC's "Creating Destiny" is set to start on this weekend.

Eugene’s Ideal Man Is Lee Minki?

Eugene, who has recently filmed a segment for KBS's "Champagne", eliminated G-Dragon in favor of Lee Minki in a segment called "Ideal Person World Cup."

After Lee Minki found out about this, he said, "Noona, I heard you picked me as your ideal man? Am I really your ideal or is it because I'm a pushover?" Eugene responded cutely by saying, "Why~? I enjoy watching you act nowadays and stuff" and the two of them shared a laugh.

Lee Minki also added, "Eugene-noona and I are pretty close, so we always encourage each other as best we can when we're filming dramas or movies. She even came out to the movie premiere of 'A Million' to support me" and said that the two of them are maintaining a close relationship.

I just wonder, how close are these two? I loved the chemistry between the two in the MBC 2006 drama, "Really Really Like You" when the two of them were coupled, and I definitely wouldn't mind seeing some real-life chemistry between them. They're only 4 years apart, so you never know! Heehee.

G.O.D.‘s Danny Ahn confesses his one-sided love for Eugene

Former G.O.D. member, Danny Ahn, confessed that he once had a one-sided crush on S.E.S member Eugene.

During the 'god special' on MBC variety program Come to Play, Danny Ahn confessed, "During G.O.D. days, I liked S.E.S' Eugene."

Fellow member Kim Tae Woo expressed, "At that time, Danny hyung would say, 'I will definitely date Eugene one day! I can get her!'", which caused laughter amongst those in the studio.



Additionally, Kim Tae Woo shared that Eugene had said that she had no idea Danny used to like her. It was said that during the recording, the words, "Eugene does not have a boyfriend," caught Danny's attention and that his expression lit up.
