G-Dragon’s Solo Concert coming soon

Big Bang's G-Dragon released his first solo album "HEARTBREAKER," back in August and now he's preparing to have his first solo concert. YG Entertainment recently updated their website with information pertaining to the heartbreaker's first concert.

The concert is titled "Shine A Light" and will be held at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. There will be two concerts, the first concert will be on December 5th at 7PM, and the second concert will be on December 6th at 6PM. Tickets for the concert will be 77,000 won (around $66 US). For the December 5th concert, ticket sales open on October 28th at 8PM. For the December 6th concert, ticket sales open on October 30th at 8PM. You can reserve and purchase the tickets at 11st.co.kr

If you're going to get the tickets, you better be ready because they go real fast!

B2ST Gives Us A Sneak Preview of Debut Song

We reported earlier that Cube Entertainment's newest 6 member boy group, B2ST was going to give us a sneak peek of their title song through their MTV documentary show, MTV B2ST on the 11th and it was duly delivered.

We don't know the title of the song yet and they really offered a sneak peek with just 8 lines revealed. But at least it's a start, giving us a feel of the song and will no doubt increase the curiosity among netizens for their debut.

Secret releases “I Want You Back” Music Video

As reported earlier, the new TS Entertainment 4 member girl group, Secret consisting of Jun Hyo Sung, Han Sun Hwa, Song Ji Eun and rapper Zinger will be debuting this week starting with Mnet's M! Countdown on the 15th.

We have not heard much about them in terms of pictures or teasers compared to other debutants but the release of their I Want You Back music video should hopefully increase interest in them from netizens. Check it out.

Yuri, Seohyun, Sooyoung Models for Dreaming Water

SNSD members Sooyoung, Seohyun and Yuri have been chosen as "Photographer" models.

The three tallest girls of the team became models for QTV's Photographer Audition Survival show called, "Photographer". They had to model for the "Dreaming Water" campaign pictorial which was a joint collaboration by UNICEF and Cosmopolitan. The photo shoot had the theme of clean water and environmental conservation.

The challenge of the episode was to take shots of the SNSD girls and the one photographer with the best shot would become the ultimate winner, $10,000 richer, seeing their picture get published in Cosmopolitan and receive a full suite of Canon DSLR equipment. They will also get to open a photo exhibition as well. As if working with the SNSD girls wasn't the biggest prize of them all. Check out the preview shots below

Lady Collection Releases MV for “A Guy Who I Know”

The flood of new teasers, music videos by debuting groups continues on this mad, mad Monday.

Remember Lady Collection and their teaser for their title track, Watch secretly? Well, they have released a music video today and it's not for their title track but of another track called, A Guy Who I Know from the same mini album.

Consisting of members Jieun (JC), Eli (앨리) and Sei (세이), the 3 ladies have amazing vocals and it looks like they are going to be slapped with the label as the next SeeYa (who is still licking their wounds from Nam Gyuri's exit) whether they like it or not. The girls are not in this music video which tells of a sad story with the sad song.

4Tomorrow releases “Tomorrow” MV

What do you get when you combine the mascots of popular girl groups KARA, Brown Eyed Girls, 4minute and After School? Why, 4Tomorrow, of course!

As you may have known already, Han Seung Yeon, Ga-In, Hyuna and UEE joined forces together for a special project group, which includes a song and MV of the digital single, "Tomorrow". While the former was released not too long ago, the latter became available for the public's viewing only recently.

Instead of a specific plot throughout the video, the setting is fixed on one location, which appears to be a small concert. The girls put on a show for the audience in attendance as they perform their choreography on stage and dance on top of tables. Near the end of the video, actor Lee Dong Gun pulls up in a suspicious-looking vehicle and admires the girls on stage from afar. If I didn't know any better, I'd think he was a creepy stalker, especially with his Snape-like hair.

MBLAQ releases “Oh Yeah” MV Teaser

After a long wait, Rain and J.Tune Entertainment boy group, MBLAQ has finally released their teaser to the MV of their debut title song "Oh Yeah".

This 40s teaser is just the first of the teasers that they will release. The song is unique, and the teaser gives a black & white sensational feeling, which fits because they are called, "M Black."

MBLAQ had recently, on the 9th and 10th, performed for Rain's Legend of Rainism concert tour," where it was said that they were impressive. But because there were no official videos or pictures of their performance, it brought up many curiosities amongst the fans. This, and the fact that it was revealed that Sandara's brother was in MBLAQ, created a lot of anticipations by many fans, as they were the most browsed topic in portal sites amongst netizens through the week.

I think the teaser teased me great, as I can't wait to see the official MV!

Up and coming girl group JQT will begin their full-scale promotional activities with an online showcase on the 12th. Besides performances, the JQT ladies will also show netizens their endearing personalities and charms. But let's listen to their music first.

Their title track "I Fell For You" is a composition of repetitive rhythms and infectious electronic beats and harmonies. Their second track is a quick tempo, guitar riff rich track titled "NONONO", a powerful emotional love song.

Taecyeon and Wooyoung’s Inkigayo Return Uncertain

We reported last month that in the aftermath of the Jaebeom's incident, 2PM's Taecyeon and Wooyoung would be taking a temporary leave of absence from their MCs role on SBS Inkigayo.

Since then, it has been almost a month since we last saw them, with Ha Yeon Joo hosting an episode by herself and another with Kim Tae Woo. There were no Inkigayo episodes for the past two weeks due to the Chuseok holidays and Dream Concert broadcast.

The Inkigayo PD mentioned two weeks back that Taecyeon and Wooyoung's return will be discussed after the Chuseok holidays and the two of them had performed with the 6 member 2PM this past Saturday at Dream Concert, raising hopes that they will be back.

But the Inkigayo PD said on the 11th, JYP Entertainment has asked for more time with regards to their return. There's still a few more days to our next broadcast on the 18th and we will continue to discuss with them. We will wait for their return in any case."

It has only been a month since their debut, but rising girl group f(x) has been getting love calls from various fashion brands. Their first time endorsing a product was with Girls Generation for LG CYON's "Chocolate". Now they are going for the global sports brand K-SWISS.

A representative from K-SWISS has stated, "f(x) is not an average girl group. With their strong performances and their international members, they have matched well with our companies global image and became our models. With the talent and the charm of each member, they will make a great mark for our brand and we are expecting it greatly."

When I was in elementary school, I used to wear K-SWISS shoes, and I gotta say, they were ridiculous. But I believe they will make the brand very stylish, just like what Big Bang and 2NE1 did with FILA. The pictures of f(x) modeling K-SWISS will be up in the winter.

Goo Hara, Seungri and Minzy are childhood friends?

In recent recording of SBS Kang Shim Jang, it was revealed that KARA's Goo Hara, Big Bang's Seungri, and 2NE1's Minzy were all friends when they were young.

Goo Hara reportedly expressed, "I have been watching 2NE1's Minzy ever since she was young. ... Big Bang's Seungri is our family as well." Her comment roused much curiosity in the rest of the cast.

It was then revealed that Goo Hara and Seungri used to be in the same dance school in their hometown, KwangJoo, before their debut. Minzy, as well as the two, was in the same school as well.

Secret Confirms Debut Stage

SHINee’s Coming Back With “Ring Ding Dong”

The five shining stars have been making headlines since they've shed their sugary sweet and colorful look, trading it for a brand new sharp and dark concept.

Kim Jong Kook - Yoon Eun Hye Scandal Once Again

The Kim Jong Kook - Yoon Eun Hye scandal, which happened several years back, was brought up once again.

The last time the scandal was mentioned, it was from KBS Happy Together, when Yoon Eun Hye talked about her scandal which occurred from once-popular variety show X-Man.

This time it was mentioned by one of Kim Jong Kook's favorite friend, Cha Tae Hyun, in SBS "Family Outing," on the episode which aired on the 11th. Well actually, "mentioned" isn't quite the word to use as it was more of "attacked."

How was he attacked? Well Kim Jong Kook, Yoon Jong Shin, Cha Tae Hyun, and Jang Hyuk had to prepare a breakfast, so they chose to go snail hunting. While they were hunting, they decided to do a "Ofcourse game." (For those of you who don't know, the "Ofcourse game" is from past variety show "X-Man." In the game, a person has to answer "ofcourse" to whatever question was thrown at them.) For the game, it was Cha Tae Hyun VS Kim Jong Kook. Cha Tae Hyun was the first to attack, and he did by throwing some questions at him.

He first asked him, "When you were first cast in Family Outing, you were happy, right?" Then he answered, "ofcourse." Kim Jong Kook then started the "first attack" by asking him, "When you found out that Song Hye Gyo and Hyun Bin were dating, you drank some beer, right?" Cha Tae Hyun was surprised, as he commented, "This wasn't what I was expecting," as he thought that when he asked him a weak question, Kim Jong Kook would attack back with a weak question as well. But as it is the game's rule, he answered, "ofcourse."

Now this is where the fun begins. Cha Tae Hyun started his real "attack" by asking him, "The reason why you keep going to US is because you have a family there, right?" Then he added a comment, "I saw your mother as well, and she looked like she was going to see your wife," to which Kim Jong Kook added, "To see a son?", which bursted some laughs. Although it is a lie, he answered, "ofcourse." Kim Jong Kook then counter attacked weakly, asking the same question as his previous, except it was about Tablo and Kang Hye Jung. As always, he replied back, "ofcourse."

Cha Tae Hyun then continued his story, asking, "The wife you have in US... she is currently filming a drama, right?" Then he added, "Isn't she quite busy with her current drama?... Lady..." As this question was asked, it brought back the old memories of the scandal, so Kim Jong Kook surrendered, saying, "Let's stop doing this." As Cha Tae Hyun was celebrating his victory, he apologized, "I'm sorry Eun Hye."

The scandal is old, but it's always fun to get reminded and laugh about it. It was quite hilarious, as you can see from the video below.

Park Hae Jin Talks About His Transgender Bar Experience

Actor Park Hae Jin guest-starred on the set of KBS's "Champagne" on October 10th, talking about various things from his post-debut woes and his upcoming drama. But that's not all - Park also revealed an experience that he had at a transgender bar!

"Some people I worked with at the time and I went to a transgender bar for dinner, and one of their staff came up to me. The person had a bigger hand than my own and it was pretty calloused ... [and] also had huge feet."

He went on, "The person took my hand slowly and smiled as they gave me a business card and said, 'Dongseng, if you're ever interested in working here, you don't have to get a sex change so give me a call if you're interested, okay?' I was so shocked!" Who can blame the person, though, since Park Hae Jin's a total hottie and all?

Upon hearing this, his fellow guests laughed and said, "Park Hae Jin has a prettier face that some girls, after all, so we're not entirely shocked."

New York Hottests Strike at Union Square

Much like their fellow Hottests in Korea last month, New York Hottest and Jaebeom supporters gathered together in Union Square yesterday to perform 2PM's hit debut single "10 Points Out of 10."

Prior to the actual performance, rehearsals were held for the fans interested in supporting the cause. Once the time came, fans and non-fans alike gathered around the center where the dancers performed a special rendition of their idols' song. They left in every move of the routine, including Jaebeom's difficult handstand at the very end of the performance! Seven fans also wore shirts with each of the member's names written on the back, making their presence known to all onlookers. It's clear that the participants not only got to publicize their love for Jaebeom, but had fun & enjoyed themselves through this public experience.

MBLAQ Impresses at Rain’s Concert

After 2 very long years, Rain's first boy group, MBLAQ, has finally made their debut! Taking the stage before an audience of 8000 fans, MBLAQ opened Rain's concert on the 9th for the "Legend of Rainism" tour and successfully performed 3 songs. After taking a look at these fancams from the concert, it's safe to say these boys made Rain proud as they danced and sang their hearts out before a roaring crowd. The boys performed their title song "Oh Yes," "Good Love," and member Jung Byung Hee performed his very own solo.

Dream Concert Brings HyunA to Tears

After performing at the successful 2009 Dream Concert, shouldn't HyunA be celebrating with her fellow group members? That's the conclusion many people would draw up, but people also forget a very important detail.

While this year's Dream Concert was the very first for the rest of the 4minute, this was HyunA's second performance. She had previously performed on stage with the Wonder Girls in 2007 and it's been 2 years since. The sexy performer stated, "When I was in 9th grade, I had performed in the Dream Concert. After 2 years passing, it is a different feeling now."

She continued, "When they listed 4minute and our names in the beginning my heart thumped. My heart was beating quickly and I was about to cry. When I was younger, I think I did things without considering the consequences. After two years I was very worried about this stage and wanted to try harder; however I thought I did better in the rehearsals than in the actual stage."

Taking a look at this year's performance, HyunA had nothing to worry about. Putting regrets and doubts to rest, the ladies of 4minute can only bring greater things for their fans. Many fans have have expressed beliefs that HyunA & the rest of 4minute gave a performance of a lifetime, and we're sure that they can look forward to more success in the future.

KARA Excited for Cameo on MBC’s “Hero”

Although many will be disappointed when "Heading to the Ground" ends next month, it looks like MBC is continuing its idol line-up - though TVXQ's Yunho will be exiting the big screen, the new drama "Hero" is set to feature the ladies of KARA in its first episode!

As reported earlier, it was announced on the 9th that this quintet of cuties would make a cameo in the first episode as the stars of a mini-concert at which the leads of the drama, Lee Junki (a reporter) and Kim Min Jung (a police detective), will first meet.

“It’s an honor for us to start off this drama together with Lee Junki and Kim Min-jung, who are actors we have always liked," the members of KARA expressed. "We’re already excited just thinking about filming, and are really looking forward to it. It feels exciting to be able to show a different side of KARA in the drama.”

With names like Lee Junki, Kim Min Jung and now KARA, this is shaping up to be a solid & highly anticipated drama. Indeed, "Hero" was licensed for a Japanese broadcast nearly a year ago, way before its license for Korea. As one source explained on Friday, such licensing is not finalized until 2-4 episodes have aired due to economic considerations and other factors. “However, in Hero’s case, recognition of the solid synopsis and lead actor Lee Junki has led to an unusual circumstance of an early sale at a high price.”

Keep an eye out for the first broadcast of "Hero" on November 18 on MBC.

SNSD’s Sunny and 2AM’s Seulong “Miracle” Duet

The most unlikely pairing of SNSD's Sunny and 2AM's Seulong came together for a duet performance on the 11th October broadcast of MTV's The M.

Sunny who is an MC of the music show is seen backstage with Seulong as they have a cute chirpy conversation before they take to the stage and perform a cover of Kim Dong Ryul and Lee So Eun's Miracle song. To compensate for her height difference with Seulong, Sunny is standing on some box-like structure covered by white cloth. Seulong is pretty good in this while Sunny's vocals tails off at certain parts, but it was still a romantic duet overall.

The long-awaited annual concert event of the year, the 2009 Dream Concert kicked off last night at the Seoul's World Cup Stadium as 19 groups of performing artistes took to the stage under the night skies to perform for their adoring fans.

The 19 groups were Big Bang, Super Junior, SNSD, 2PM, SHINee, Jewelry, 4minute, 2NE1, Kara, Chae Yeon, Wheesung, Park Hyo Shin, T-ara, Supernova, f(x), Kim Tae Woo, 2AM, MC Mong and Super Junior-M. Reasons for Big Bang and G-Dragon Dream Concert TV Broadcast Absence

We already knew beforehand that 2PM's performance won't be shown during the tv broadcast of the 2009 Dream Concert on 11 October through SBS. But fans, especially VIPs wasn't counting on that to happen to Big Bang and G-Dragon as well. On the day of the concert, it was revealed that along with 2PM, Big Bang and G-Dragon's performances will not be shown on tv. Why was this so?

A Dream Concert staff tried to explain the situation, "When we signed the contract with YG Entertainment earlier, they had actually opted for the non-broadcast clause. There was no problem with that absolutely." YG Entertainment said, "We felt that it was not important whether the performance was broadcast or not, it was the participation that mattered. Besides it's a written rule in YG Entertainment that the non-broadcast clause is enforced when it's not a promotion period."

But that statement sounded ambigious especially when their performance at the recent Asia Song Festival in September without Daesung was aired. Furthermore, why was G-Dragon affected? Isn't he currently in the midst of promotions? And what about 2NE1 then? Aren't they currently on hiatus, preparing for their new album?

YG Entertainment explained further, "Although Big Bang performed as five on stage last night, Daesung who has just recovered from his injuries wasn't at his best condition, meaning that the overall performance level of Big Bang was affected as well. Thus, we decided to opt for a non-broadcast since Big Bang couldn't show off their best."

Child of Empire vs. B2ST: Video Showdown

By now, readers have probably heard a thing or two regarding the boy bands and male artists debuting or returning in this coming month.

Among them are Child of Empire and B2ST, who are both seeking to make a name for themselves in the competitive k-pop scene.

The former, who will actually make their official debut in November, have been raised by Star Empire Entertainment. Also recognized as SNSD's counterparts, the 9-member boy band is said to be quite ambitious, expressing their desire to increase the members of their fan club to at least 10,000.

Their large group, however, may pose as a bit of an impediment for those who are new to the them. If you are still struggling to learn all their names, allkpop may have found a solution that doesn't involve memorization through flash cards.

A video which captures the rookie idols in their activities throughout the day was released on the net recently. From clips of their rehearsal practices to the the boys goofing off, viewers got a sneak peak at the lives of the rookie group.

On the other hand, Cube Entertainment's male idol group unleashed B2ST in a different, yet equally strategic method.

In a 3-minute video clip, the 6 rookies are seen popping and locking to the beat of R.Kelly's song and propagandize their group's name by posting flyers on everything in sight. Unlike Child of Empire, B2ST did not reveal too much information on the individual members; in fact, they hardly showed their faces. However, such a tactic makes viewers all the more curious to discover who the boys behind the shrouded hoodies and masked bandanas are.

Netizens Unhappy With Kim Jae Dong’s Departure

On the 10th, it was reported that KBS2TV's Star Golden Bell MC Kim Jae Dong would no longer be hosting the show. On the 11th, hundreds of viewers left comments on the website expressing their regrets.

Most of the fans demanded to know the reason behind his resignation while others threatened to not watch the show anymore without Kim Jae Dong in it.

A fan commented, "The only reason that Kim Jae Dong was let go from his MC position was because of his outspoken political views. If that is true, I am deeply disappointed. This treatment to Kim Jae Dong is unfair without any clear reason from KBS."

Another fan posted "Kim Jae Dong was the heart of Star Golden Bell's popularity. He was an excellent MC and does not deserve to be pushed out in this way."

Kim Jae Dong has been pretty vocal in the past with his outspoken views and also recently. On the 9th, he had appeared on stage with singer Kang San Eh for the opening of former president Roh Moo Hyun's memorial cultural festival. On the subject regarding the bankruptcy of Ssangyong Motor Company, Kim Jae Dong twittered "Never forget Ssangyong. We could all be like them one day".

Korean Broadcasting System or in short, KBS is widely known to be largely influenced by the Korean government even though by law, it is stated that it's a public organization that's independently managed. Because of their supposed links with the government, they tend to ban stuff which has objectionable content or criticizing the government with ease to "maintain social order". YB or more popularly known as Yoon Do Hyun Band had been banned earlier from appearing from KBS shows in April for indirectly speaking out against the government through their music.

Kim Jae Dong will record his final episode of "Star Golden Bell" on the 12th. The public is anticipating whether or not he will discuss the reasons for his leaving at a later date.

T-ara Sings “Fire” on 1000 Song Challenge

On the 11th, 3 members of girl group T-ara (Hyomin, Eunjung and Jiyeon) made an appearance on SBS 1000 Song Challenge--a game show which requires celebrity guests to randomly choose from one of the 1000 songs to sing a short segment of, without forgetting the lyrics or singing off-tune.

By mere coincidence, T-ara selected a popular song by fellow rookie group 2NE1.

Hyomin's reaction "Fire" may have given the impression that their team was in trouble. However, T-ara demonstrated that they, too, were very familiar with the hit track that shot 2NE1's career through the roof, even imitating parts of the choreography as well. With Hyomin singing a majority of the song and Eunjung frequently chiming in, the girls managed to pass the round successfully.

2PM’s “Again and Again” at 2009 Dream Concert

As reported earlier, the once 7-member idol group 2PM performed together without their leader for the first time at the 2009 Dream Concert on the 10th. Due to the controversial issue of Jaebeom's MySpace comments that has still have a lingering effect on the nation, their performance will not be aired on tv.

Fortunately, fancams have sprouted up on YouTube, enabling international Hottests to witness the performance for themselves.

Even though the boys had not been on stage for a while, their performance was just like any other they had in the past. In terms of vocals and choreography, the quality of the group's performance had not deteriorated during their period away from the k-pop scene.

Of course, the absence of their leader made a significant difference on the overall show that could not go unnoticed. Instead of having another member replace Jaebeom's singing parts or cutting them out altogether, the audio was left alone. The gap left by 'Leadja' was particularly glaring at the end of the song, where his usual spot in the middle of the group was completely vacant.

You can bet that fans didn't hold back during the night of this very occasion. 40,000 people showed their support for Jaebeom by chanting his name in unison throughout the song.

Of the many banners made for 2PM and their leader, there was one, in particular, that glowed (literally). It read, "We are waiting for our Leadja Park Jaebeom" and was the only visible banner in the dark.

I, for one, am utterly speechless at the extent Korean fans have gone to try and restore the ex-leader of 2PM to his rightful position.

However, do you think their efforts are applaudable or should there be a limit on how far they can protest against JYP Entertainment without sacrificing support for the remaining members?

Park Hae Jin Talks About His Post-Debut Woes

Actor Park Hae Jin guest-starred on the October 10th broadcast of KBS 2TV's "Champagne" and talked about the difficulties he experienced after his acting debut in 1998, among them being girl troubles and issues with adapting to the job. Check out the screencaps from the episode.

"Ah, girl issues." Park Hae Jin said, "I had a girlfriend who I really loved in 2004. She kept on ignoring my phone calls, and made up excuses like 'I have to take care of my mother who's sick right now' when I asked her to spend some time with me. After a while, I became worried about her and waited in front of her house one day."

He went on to say, "I was waiting for a long time, wondering when she was going to show up. And then, I heard her voice and another man's voice approaching me. Alarmed, I looked up and saw her with another guy. Our eyes met, and I was so traumatized to know that she'd betray me like this. I broke up with her immediately after that." He also confessed, "I was so hurt that I drank myself to sleep every night. It was hard for me to even eat while I was getting over her."

Park Hae Jin also talked about a troubling experience that he had on the set with a co-worker. "I had a really hard time when I was filming the drama 'Chil Princesses,' because one of the people whom I'd been working with said things like, 'Are you some no-life loser who'd been rolling around?' 'Is that the best you can do?' and 'What do you actually know how to do?' to me. It was really upsetting." But he laughed as he said, "Recently, that person approached me and said, 'You look like you're doing well nowadays. I hope to work with you again in the future.' " The nerve!

Well, even though he had to go through some hardships, I'm glad that he's endured and persevered through the good and the bad to become the fantastic actor he is today. Remember to tune in to his new drama, "Hot Blood," that starting airing in Korea yesterday!

As we all sit around and wait for the airing of the 2009 Dream Concert tonight, we've been hit by a pleasant early surprise. A very high quality fancam of SNSD's performances was uploaded by sosiz, which is sure to whet your appetites!

The girls performed Genie, Gee and also a brief introduction, where Taeyeon was so overwhelmed with emotions, that she broke down and cried. For those of you who are unaware, at last years Dream Concert, anti-fans put on a silent protest. This time around however, everyone showed massive support for SNSD, hence the emotions were flowing high.

After all the hate and drama this year, this was a nice change of atmosphere.

SHINee’s Onew Reveals New Look and Solo Song Teaser

...and dayum, a certain boy group's leader is looking good. Say goodbye to SHINee's Tofu boy and welcome a revamped and resplendent Onew! I'll admit, I've always been more of a 2PM fan than SHINee World... resident (or whatever fan club members call themselves), but these photos are definitely an upgrade.

Shedding the soft and colorful image from before, Onew is revealed sporting a short 'do and exuding a tough charm that has drawn much attention from the public. Check out that porcupine style, it's like the stylist was going for a mohawk but changed his/her mind 30% of the way in. What do you think of the overall concept, yay or nay?

SHINee's upcoming 3rd album will also include Onew's first solo track titled "The Name I Loved", which blends the common ballad genre with a hint of alternative rock. The song, which describes the pain of a forbidden love, features the artist Kim Yeon Woo, whom Onew has always respected as a sunbae.

MBC’s “Creating Destiny” Kicks Off

Earlier in the week we reported that former S.E.S member Kim Eugene was tempted to go under the knife and briefly talked about the MBC weekend drama she's starring in, "Creating Destiny".

The story is about Hang Sang Eun (Eugene) who moves to Canada at a young age. She returns to Korea all grown up, presenting an American boyfriend to her family. As her parents had hopes of their daughter marrying someone Korean, they are not pleased with what she brings home. The family tries their best to set her up with Kim Yeo Joon played by Ki Tae Young, thus 'creating their destiny.'

Abracadabra with swords on Star King!

Two girls that are almost as sexy as the Brown Eyed Girls came on Star King, the same episode featuring 2PM's Nichkhun and Wooyoung's return.

The sexy duo performed a ~~dance~~ sword routine to the hit song, "Abracadabra," by the Brown Eyed Girls. You can also check out a live performance of the song by the one and only Brown Eyed Girls on our coverage of the Brown Eyed Girls at Circle Nightclub.

They first started out swinging the swords here and there and just by the way they were holding the swords, you could tell they were professionals. You could also tell their skill with the blade from Nichkhun's facial expression at 1:07.

This gives a whole new feel to the song. We all know the song screams out the word "sexy" but this version shows the powerful side of it.

Oppa Band Gets The Chop

We reported a few days earlier that Nodaji have been canned while the fate of Oppa Band hung in the balance. Well, it appears that both programs have now been officially axed by MBC from their Sunday Sunday Night lineup. The main reasons for their cancellations stemmed from their consistent low ratings which hovered around 5% and below, five times less than what SBS's Family Outing and KBS2TV's 1N2D are getting.

MBC announced on the 10th, "We will remove 'Oppa Band' and Nodaji' from Sunday Sunday Night by the end of the month (October). There will be a final filming session for both programs to wrap up everything. The final episodes for both shows will either be broadcast on the 18th or the 25th." MBC did not say about what they will do about the vacant spots left after the two programs end their run this month or their future plans.

It does seem that no matter what MBC throw out, no one will really care since Family Outing is helmed by Yoo Jae Suk while 1N2D is anchored by Kang Ho Dong, where coincidentally both are the most successful and recognized national MCs in the country at the moment. What do you think MBC should do?

The concert had some of the nation's best singers performing but some poor preparation work bought some frowns to the audience. Also the hosts went on talking for 30 minutes because of the delay causing the 40,000 audience to wait in the chilly weather.

2PM Nichkhun and Wooyoung with NBA Cheerleaders on Star King Video

2PM's Nichkhun and Wooyoung have returned to Star King for the first time after the whole Jaebeom incident and got to meet an NBA cheer-leading team. Although it seems this was recorded a while ago, the episode aired today as reported earlier.

The New Jersey Nets cheerleading squad attended Star King on 7th September, giving an outstanding performance. And now, the whole Nets' cheer-leading team, Dunking Divas was out in full force to charm Korean viewers once again. The six cheerleaders with their well-toned figures performed their cheer-leading routine to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" and proved themselves as "Powerful Ladies."

They also showed off their fabulous dunking skills to make it clear that they were just as good as guys, if not better. Wooyoung, Nichkhun and T-ara then joined the women to learn how to dunk using a trampoline as well as getting tips on how to get a lean waist with sexy bottoms.

You won’t see Big Bang on the Dream Concert broadcast?

The Dream Concert was held earlier today at the Seoul's World Cup Stadium and it was pretty epic. The Dream Concert is scheduled to air on SBS, October 11th at 4PM (Korean Time). Many of you already knew that 2PM was going to be edited out of the official broadcast, but now there's word that Big Bang won't be on the official broadcast as well.

No, Big Bang didn't do anything wrong, instead YG Entertainment put in a special request that their performance be cut out from the broadcast. There's no word on the reason why they put in such a request, but people can speculate. Maybe because Daesung was rusty from a long layoff and they didn't want people to see Big Bang with a less than stellar performance? Your guess is as good as mine, it's quite unfortunate because many people wanted to see Daesung and Big Bang perform together... it's been a while, I guess that'll have to wait.

Earlier today, 2PM took the stage as 6 at the Dream Concert. 2PM had a brief message for the fans saying that it's been too long since they've been on stage and that no matter what, they will continue to work hard and do the best they can.

2PM performed both 'Again and Again' and 'I Hate You,' they put on a powerful and passionate performance for the fans. During the performance, a good portion of the more than 40,000 in attendance shouted for Jaebeom and for him to come back. Unfortunately it won't air on TV, but hopefully there will be some fancam footage.

It was good to see the fans cheering for Jaebeom, hopefully things work out for the best soon.

Music Core and We Got Married postponed

Due to the extended live telecast of the baseball playoff game between the Doosan Bears and SK Wyverns on MBC, regular programming like Music Core and We Got Married was not shown this afternoon on 10th October.

Music Core was supposed to have a delayed telecast at 5.30pm (KST) but that had to be aborted after the game finished about 70 minutes later, which was just before the scheduled airing of Infinity Challenge, with We Got Married also affected by the game. Fans will now have to wait to see Epik High's goodbye stage which was supposed to air this afternoon, but will only be shown next Saturday instead together with the whole show which was already recorded.

And this will be a good break for all singers on promotion for next week.

One of the directors spoke highly about the drama, stating that "Ever since the first broadcasting, the atmosphere has been good. The day after, I went to a directors' meeting and remember seeing the president smile for the first time in a year." She added, "The 'My Fair Lady' team completed the drama until the end and produced good results. I am very thankful." No More Kim Jae Dong for Star Golden Bell

KBS Star Golden Bell had been getting numerous spotlights from the k-pop fans with their stunning line-up of celebrities that appear as their weekly guests. The show gave the chance for them to uncover their hidden sense of humor with the help of the MCs.

However, it seems like our beloved MC, Kim Jae Dong, will no longer be seen on the show, for it has been officially declared that he will be exiting the show. It is reported that he will be stepping off from the show after their filming on the 12th, concluding his four straight years on the job.

The president of Daum Production, Kim Young Jun revealed, "We have nothing to say about this abrupt decision." Their efforts to be voiceless about this resignation is very obvious, proving once again that the SGB agency has had some sort of a dispute with KBS. In fact, one of the artists under the same company, Yoon Do Hyun, has also made a sudden exit from his show, KBS "Love Letter" just last year.

Don't worry for the show must go on. Current MCs, Jun Hyun Moo and Lee Chae Young will not be affected by Kim Jae Dong's resignation. However, a representative of the staff stated, "The replacement MC had not yet been decided."

Ever since the broadcast of the premiere episode of SBS "You're Beautiful," the drama's OST has been receiving a lot of attentions from the viewers.

How much of a hit was it? Well just a few day ago, the 40 second preview of one of their OST song, "Promise," which was a different version of the original one as it was sung by Lee Hongki, was released on the 6th in their drama homepage. Although it was just a 40 second preview, they attracted 500 listeners to the message boards in just 3 hours.

But wait, there more.

One of their OST song, "Still (여전히)," has been receiving a lot of attention ever since the premiere. Because of their hot reactions, they have decided to release the song in online music portal sites earlier than it was originally scheduled, as the suppose-to-be-released-on-14th was changed and released on the 8th.

The OST tracks which is sang by the in-drama-only-band, A.N.JELL, is expected to get more attention as the drama progresses.

This is great news for them, but do you guys think it is possible for their OSTs to become more popular than the drama itself? Well in my opinion and looking at the past OST-hit-dramas, the drama itself has to be a hit in order for the OSTs to become hits.

MBLAQ performs; Sandara Park’s Brother in MBLAQ

On the 9th, MBLAQ (Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality's), pronounced as "M Black," debuted with their first performance in world-star Rain's "Asia Tour: Legend of Rainism," in Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium. They performed 3 songs live, one of which was their debut album title song, "Oh, Yes (오, 예)," in the opening stage in front of 8000 attendance.

Rain showed a lot of satisfaction as he met with the reporters in his prep room after the concert. He commented, "MBLAQ has been preparing for 2 years. They have great talent in singing, dancing, and rapping. Compared to my debut, I think their skills are better than mine."

On the hit SBS variety show "Strong Heart," every guest must reveal a deeper secret or past in order win the "strong heart" award. Narsha boldly revealed, "I'm actually 29 years old, but I have been publicly saying I am 27." Why would Narsha trick everyone into thinking that she's 27?

They are role models, which is why they are called "idols" and people of all ages in Korea are influenced by them in one way or another. Many fans of idols wonder how they become so famous and how they stay on top.

Below are the few ways these people find their claims to fame.

1. DOCUMENTARIES

Big Bang and 2PM are two of the most popular boy idol groups in Korea and both started off being featured in documentaries. These documentaries showed how the members train, how they got in the agency, if they had talent or not, and showed audiences and possible fanbases their personalities before debut. Documentaries give the future idol groups many fans before their actual debut, which helped them be successful when they started promoting, instead of beginning as nobodies.

Producers must make it so that the song doesn't sound plagiarized and catches the ears of fans everywhere. Ever hear the chorus of "Sorry Sorry", "Gee", "Nobody"?

4. TIME OF DEBUT

If you are a newcomer to the scene and you debut when there are many veteran groups performing, chances are you are not going to get much attention. Timing is crucial and it's always wise to debut when there's the least amount of noise.

5. LOOKS

Although talent has overcome looks these days in the Korean music industry, as witnessed through a number of recent popular groups, good looks definitely do not hurt. Bada’s Website Shut Down Because of Taecyeon?

It has been revealed that Bada's offical homepage "Hello Bada," has had temporarily shutdowns recently due to numerous complaints from fans about her performance on KBS 2TV's Music Bank on the 9th.

The fans complained that, "Her performance of 'Yes I'm in Love' was much too short compared to the original."

A related source from Bada's agency stated on the 10th, "It was not shortened because of the amount of time that the show had left. ... The original recording had 2PM member, Taecyeon featured in it, so in order for the original full song to be performed, they needed to perform together. But because 2PM's activities are currently being restrained, Taecyeon's rapping part had to be deleted therefore Bada's solo parts were rearranged, which caused the song to be shortened."

Well, you can't blame Bada, as most of the 2PM members are currently inactive. Let's hope that Taecyeon does come back to perform the original.

B2ST Poised For Debut with a sneak preview

As you all know, Cube Entertainment's new 6 member boy band, "B2ST, or Boys 2 Search the Top (pronounced as "beast") has their own MTV Documentary show called "MTV B2ST" and the documentary has already aired 7 episodes.

Well, it's been revealed that they'll be giving viewers a sneak-preview of their title-song in the next episode of the documentary! The parts of the song they will reveal are 8 bars from the introduction. Although the name of their title-song hasn't been revealed yet, you can still expect a hit-song because it was composed by talented composers. The composers include Shin Sa Dong Tiger (Lee Ho Yang), who composed 4minute's "Hot Issue" and "MUZIK," and Lee Sang Ho.

Not only will you get a sneak-preview, you'll also get to see things like the members having a surprise street performance to show a dynamic teaser as well as the B2ST's members surprise visit to the sitcom "High Kick Through The Roof" filming set. The reason being that one of the members, AJ, is cast as character "SaeHo." The members have said to have asked the staff members to take good care of their fellow member, as they gave around small gifts and greetings.

Yoona to Throw Ball for Baseball Game

Yoona, a member of Girls' Generation, one of South Korea's top girl groups, has been invited to throw the first ball at the third game of the Korean professional baseball playoff series between Doosan Bears and SK Wyverns.

The match will take place Saturday at the Jamsil ballpark in southeastern Seoul, Doosan's home ground.

Yoona, 19, will throw to wish Doosan's advance into the Korean Series with three consecutive wins. Doosan Bears are leading SK Wyverns 2-0 in the best-of-five playoffs. The winner of the playoffs will meet Kia Tigers in the best-of-seven Korean Series.

``I am excited and glad to be picked to throw the first ball for such an important game. I will try my best to make a nice pitch,'' Yoona was quoted as saying.

Yoona has been making the first pitch for Doosan Bears since 2007.

Yoon Eun Hye Gives Puma Shoes As Parting Gift

It was reported that in the middle of September, Eun Hye had secretly enquired about the shoe sizes of everyone on the production team before placing orders for 112 Puma shoes.

Yunho does Checkmate; Go Ara does Girls on Top

Viewers were drawn to a particular scene shown in episode 10 of MBC's Heading to the Ground on 8th October.

Super Junior’s Sungmin Unveils His Musical Look

Besides rehearsing and performing with Super Junior for the 2009 Dream Concert on 10th October, Super Junior member, Sungmin also has to rehearse and perform for his musical, Akilla which starts today.

Sungmin had been cast for the role of Ro, who is a peace lover abd has a gentle personality, but would not hesitate to do anything to protect his love. It might be Sungmin's first musical role and he admits that although he might not do a good job, he is trying his best and hopes to show his fans a different charm to him.

Akilla will take place from today, 9th October until 8th November at the Hanjeon Art Center for one month.

Girl Group Idols Go The Simple Life

Whether you have watched it or not, I'm sure you have all heard of the FOX reality show, "The Simple Life", starring popular socialites Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.

If you haven't heard of the show, or if you don't know what it's about, I'll break it down for you all real simple: Two girls live on a farm and do manual labor. It's not just that but that's a real simplified version of it.

KBS2TV is adapting the American reality show and creating Invincible Youth (forget Heroine 6 or 1N2D references). They'll be spinning things up a little by not making it 2 pretty faces working hard on camera but instead there will be 7 girls from several different popular idol groups and thus forming the G7 (Girl 7). G7 will consist of SNSD's Yuri and Sunny, Kara's Goo Hara, Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha, 4minute's HyunA, T-ara's Hyomin, and Secret's Han Sunhwa.

PD Kim Sang Ho said that the show will bring the 7 girls out into the rural areas of Korea where they will endure hardship and manual labor, making this a totally different reality "trip" show from other reality shows like 1N2D and Family Outting, for we will watch the girls build character and mature through their experiences.

Daesung To Appear At 2009 Dream Concert Afterall

After lots of deliberation over the past few days over Big Bang's Daesung participation at the 2009 Dream Concert, it was revealed a day before the actual concert that he will be on stage with Big Bang afterall.

YG Entertainment had only said yesterday that although Daesung had recovered from his injuries in the car accident, he's not yet in 100% condition. But with Daesung requesting to perform and the fans hoping to see Big Bang together as five on stage again, YG Entertainment has relented and has decided that Daesung will perform on stage tomorrow night.

A YG representative said, "Although Daesung's participation is now confirmed for the 2009 Dream Concert, we have not decided on how many songs he will perform to since he's really not fully fit yet. Big Bang will be performing two songs and there's also a joint collaboration with their juniors, 2NE1 as well."

Hottests Raise their Voice Again For Jaebeom

We have reported earlier about the boycott set to take its place on the 10th, regarding the exclusion of 2PM's performance for the Dream Concert's public broadcasting.

2PM, or some may call them 6PM, are back in schedule again, yet with their leader's position remaining empty. Returning 2PM members are set to perform their "come-back" stage on the 10th at the Dream Concert. However, SBS recently agreed with the JYP Entertainment to cut out the footage of 2PM's stage for their broadcast on the 11th, due to the controversies still revolving around their former leader, Jaebeom. This officially abandoned the last straw for the fans to see their beloved 2PM perform on stage again after a very long time of absence.

The heartbroken fans gathered under the club named "The Happiest Time for the Noonas", to purchase an ad containing messages toward their wait for Jaebeom. The ad was displayed on page 6 of Han Gyuh Reh News on the 9th, successfully raising their voice throughout the country.

The Hottests have proven once again that their sense of creativity is always miles ahead everyone else. The ad showed a world map with a line connecting the cities of Seoul and Seattle, yet with both clocks pointing at 2:00. It reflected the deep meaning of their unification, and how they only shine when there's seven on the stage.

Also, they added the word, '기다리다', meaning 'Waiting'. Below the word, they included the bilingual definition straight from the dictionary but seems to describe their status in minds. At the very bottom, they directly expressed their thoughts by writing "2PM: The Happiest Time of the Noonas await for the Leader Jaebeom's return."

I think it's now time to ask the real question... would Jaebeom really want all this?

Most of you are already thorough with Kangin's recent assault controversies that heated up the netizens like wildfire. Yes, this event caused many of the netizens and fans to turn their backs on Kangin from the unbearable disappointment. However, it seems like his "ex-wife", Lee Yoon Ji still has an unconditional love for him.

Lee Yoon Ji, an actress currently leading the drama, Heading to the Ground, got "married" to Kangin earlier this year. Although they were nothing more than two celebrities going through a life of virtual marriage on a show, MBC's We Got Married, viewers definitely saw the undeniable chemistry between them two. I guess their companionship still remains everlasting, for Lee Yoon Ji delivered a heartfelt message toward Kangin.

Girl groups SNSD and f(x) have revealed their project titled "Chocolate Love." "Chocolate Love" was produced by Bloodshy&Avant, who was also the producer for BoA's USA debut album. The songs lyrics reveal the new chocolate phone's attractiveness like sweet chocolate.

The project involves two different versions, with SNSD singing the "Retro Pop" version which has a charismatic and vintage style, while f(x) steers in a more trendy and electronic sound. But not only are there two versions of the song but there will also be two different music videos with a girly feel from SNSD and a powerful feel from f(x).

Super Junior-M to perform at 2009 Dream Concert

They don't say anything but we sure know that the organizers for the 2009 Dream Concert are working really hard behind the scenes to make sure it remains a dream and not a nightmare for fans.

It was revealed on the 9th, one day before the concert kicks off at the Seoul World Cup Stadium tomorrow night that Super Junior-M would also be performing. Super Junior-M will perform the Korean version of their song, Super Girl for the first time at the Dream Concert, and start promotions. This will be something that Super Junior fans can look forward to, to make up for the loss of Kangin from Super Junior's performances.

Child of Empire, a new 9 member boy group set to debut in November under Star Empire Entertainment, are striking hard. Before their official debut, they have expressed feelings of wanting a fan club of at least 10,000 people, and they plan on getting those fans. The group has been making small appearances in the media over the past year, popping up here and there, but now they want as much exposure as possible.

The group will start making appearances all over Korea, visiting many cities and even schools starting on the 13th, making 3 street performances a day. As if that wasn't enough, the group says they hope to make 50 live performances after their debut by the end of November. The group also has a "if you request it, we'll be there" kind of policy.

Are they out of their minds? Probably. Will they feed off only sugar and coffee? Most likely. Are they crazy? Definitely. Is that guy secretly going commando under that kilt? I wish. But a representative said, "Most artists say it's too difficult and tiring to do street performances and we're worried whether or not the members will be able to digest such a feat but, if they can gain sympathy for their dedication and hard work to their music, we're sure they'll be a raging success."

SHINee’s Jonghyun Reveals New Album Look

We revealed earlier that the heartthrob of nunas, SHINee, would be making a comeback on the 19th with their 3rd album titled '2009, Year Of Us'. Starting from the 9th, individual photos of the male idols flaunting their new image are to be released to the public one at a time.

We start off with the unveiling of Jonghyun.

He has attracted much attention from the public with his recent change of hair color, which gradually fades from a brown tone at the top to a lighter shade at the bottom. His overall concept is suggestive of a gothic style with a glam&chic look, appearing to be unrestrained and liberal, yet is one that leaves a deep impression on viewers.

Donning a monotone style of clothing, he reveals a novel fashion sense that has yet to be seen in the k-pop scene.

In particular, fans are all the more curious to witness a more mature change in the 5 boys as opposed to their bright and colorful image from their previous album. They also expressed great interest in SHINee's new style of music, as the teaser for the 3rd mini album is expected to be revealed on the 13th.

SM Entertainment sure wasn't lying when they stated that the quintet will expose a new distinctive style that will set them apart from other guy groups.

SHINee seems to be heading for a 180-degree transformation as they trade in their colored skinny jeans for goth clothes. Looks like the hot new boy group raised under Rain's (Bi) wing is going to be here soon.

Although I'm not sure what to think of the title of their new single, "Just BLAQ," (it almost screams for some satirical politically incorrect joke) I guess that the group is going for the usual Big Bang-esque manliner and open shirt concept. It's not like the fangirls are complaining though.

The teaser poster, which was posted all around Seoul, features a vampire-ish concept and has certainly sparked interest among Koreans.

MBLAQ is set to debut with a teaser at Rain's "Legend of Rainism" concert tour on October 9th at the Olympic Park Stadium.

"Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality's" debut performance is scheduled to be on a few days later on October 14th.

It might be gloomy for certain fans at the 2009 Dream Concert with the withdrawals of certain idols due to various reasons. But there's still plenty to look forward to otherwise for fans.

The 2009 Dream Concert will take place on 10th October and it looks like the project group of T-ara and Supernova will not be the only one performing their new song, TTL.Listen.2.

f(x) was scheduled to perform their new CF song, Chocolate Love through a showcase with their seniors, SNSD on the 15th. But with the widespread interest in the song since the 8th, f(x) will perform it first at the 2009 Dream Concert instead.

Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong are MC’s of the best Variety Shows

Two of Korea's top MC's, Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong, both host 3 of the highest rated variety shows that are currently broadcasting, which makes them the kings of variety shows.

Yoo Jae Suk has the greatest viewer ratings on Monday's, Thursday's, and Saturday's, while Kang Ho Dong has the greatest viewer ratings on Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Sunday's.

Monday's have three variety shows that are currently broadcasting, KBS Global Talk Show hosted by Nam Hee Suk, MBC Come to Play hosted by Yoo Jae Suk, and 300 hosted by Shin Dong Yup. The 3 shows (300 is one hour before the other shows) have to battle to get the most ratings. The winner was Come to Play hosted by Yoo Jae Suk. It had a rating of 15%, which beat the other competitors. Global Talk Show had a rating of 10%, and because of MBC Queen Seon Duk's power, 300 could only get a low rating of 3%

Tuesday's have two variety shows. SBS Strong Heart is a new variety show hosted by Kang Ho Dong and Lee Seung Gi, which got a 17.3% rating on it's first episode, beating KBS Sang Sang Plus 2. Kang Ho Dong and Lee Seung Gi will most likely be the reigning champions on Tuesdays.

Wednesday's and Thursdays have two ruling shows. Golden Fishery hosted by Kang Ho Dong and Happy Together , hosted by Yoo Jae Suk beat out every other variety shows in the day.

The weekend is the most hardcore fight in the week.

Saturday's have the five year running champion MBC Infinity Challenge, which has between 13.8% and 19.7% of viewers watching every week. Other competing shows are KBS Invinsible Baseball and SBS Star King, which simply cannot defeat Infinity Challenge as of yet.

Sunday's have a head to head battle with KBS 1 Night 2 Days and SBS Family Outing hosted by Kang Ho Dong and Yoo Jae Suk. These two do not have one who always beat the other, because every week, the ratings always change. They both had hit 30% - 40% in viewer ratings, which makes them the most seen variety shows out of the whole week. Other shows are SBS Gold Miss is Coming and KBS Qualification of Men.

So with 6 days of the week with Kang Ho Dong and Yoo Jae Suk MCing, they each have 3 of the most top rated variety shows in Korea, and 1 head to head battle on Sundays.

Both of them have different styles of humor, which gains lots of attention from people all over Korea. They deserve to be the king of variety shows indeed.

2NE1 to Hold a Solo Concert This Year?

Just a few months ago, rookie group 2NE1 expressed interest in upping the ante and holding an independent concert within the same year of their debut. While such high aspirations seemed unlikely and even far-fetched to many Blackjacks & non-fans alike, it looks like YG Entertainment is still toying with the idea of a large scale concert by the end of this year!

Despite the saturated kpop scene and so-called fountain of girl groups this year, girl groups rarely hold concerts because it's difficult for concert management companies to invest in them. In contrast with male groups, girl groups don't have as much enthusiastic participation from fans. In fact, the kpop scene has only seen three girl groups hold their own concerts in the past: Fin.K.L. (1999), S.E.S (2000) and the Wonder Girls (2009). Adding a fourth name to the list is a big deal, let alone a group that debuted only a few months ago.

However, 2NE1 proved to be a group to watch out for right off the bat: their pre-debut CYON CF endorsement with "Lollipop" caught much attention, and debut song "Fire" catapulted 2NE1 to the top of various music charts within just one month. The girls kept the ball rolling with their mini-album with hits like "I Don't Care" and "Pretty Boy" which has further increased the fanbase and maintained the girls' popularity. And if that isn't all, 2NE1's got plans for yet another album in November as well. With all the momentum generated by 2NE1's successes, it looks like this fearsome foursome just might be the group to defy the norm.

"2NE1 has shown interest for a concert since their debut," an official at YG Entertainment reportedly stated, "and with the success of their first mini-album, the idea of a concert is reasonable." And with the talk of a November album, 2NE1 will then have accumulated enough songs to fill a two-hour performance.

With only a few months left in 2009, 2NE1's got a lot on its plate with an upcoming album and this potential concert, not to mention their first variety show appearance and various other smaller activities.

It looks like the jury is split on this one - while many are buzzing over the prospect of a 2009 concert, others criticize YG Entertainment for jumping the gun in order to hand 2NE1 bragging rights as the first rookie group to hold a concert so soon. Yesterday we reported that old school S.E.S. member Bada was going to return with her follow up track "Yes I'm in love," from her 4th album which features 2PM's Taecyeon on Mnet's M! Countdown. Well the video of the performance has been released and although she performed without Taecyeon, she performed admirably. After all these years she's still got it, with a great voice and charisma.

Hottests to Boycott 2PM At 2009 Dream Concert

2PM will be performing at the 2009 Dream Concert on October 10th. This will be their first performance as 2PM without Jaebeom.

It has been stated that 2PM will be performing their hit songs, "Again and Again" and "I Hate You." This stage however, will not be recorded, and Hottests plan to continue with their boycott by not attending the concert, and instead going to the JYP building to attach post-it notes to voice their disapproval of JYP's decision to ignore their pleas to bring Jaebeom back.

The trouble that had started from Jaebeom's Myspace comments, are still going strong. 2PM's official fanclub, Hottest have stated before that they will boycott a 6-member 2PM.

Many of you already know that 2PM will be edited out of the official broadcast and Daesung won't perform with Big Bang for the upcoming Dream Concert on October 10th at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Now there's news that Super Junior's Kangin won't join his fellow Super Junior mates on stage for the concert. Most likely due to the recent assault controversies.

Even without TVXQ, Kangin, and Daesung not being in the lineup, the Dream Concert is still going to be packed with some of K-Pop's top artists. The list of performers include Super Junior (minus Kangin), Big Bang (minus Daesung), SNSD, SHINee, 2NE1, Chae Yeon, f(x), 2PM (not on broadcast), KARA, Wheesung, Jewelry, 4minute, T-ara, MC Mong and Park Hyo Shin.

SNSD Performs Pearl Harbor Movie Theme Song

The ever popular 9 member girl group from SM Entertainment, SNSD were the performing guests for the prestigious 14th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) held this evening at the Busan Haeundae Sooyoungman Yachting Stadium. And to make it even more meaningful for the girls, it was the first time that an idol group had been invited to perform at the film festival.

Besides singing their chart topping song, Genie, four SNSD members Tiffany, Jessica, Taeyeon and Seohyun did a rendition of Faith Hill's There You'll Be, the theme song for the Pearl Harbor movie back in 2001. It was a pretty good rendition of the song even though it was cut since this was just a news clip.

T-ara and Supernova’s TTL.Version.2 MV filming

We reported last week that all 6 members each from T-ara and Supernova will come together to perform TTL (Time to Love) from October onwards. We have now pictures from their music video filming.

The music video filming for their new version of TTL, TTL.Version.2 was held at a studio in Namyangju on 8th October where some lucky fans managed to get a chance to also see their idols in action. The popularity of TTL on various charts since it's release on 14th September had prompted Core Contents Media to breath more life into the song and freshen things up by adding Qri and Boram from T-ara and Yunhak, Sungje, Sungmo from Supernova to form a large 12 member mixed gender group for their new promotion.

As you can see from the pictures, their style has undergone a 180° transformation from their original style, with new outfits, hairstyles, etc. TTL.Version.2 will be released through online portal sites on the 9th and fans will be able to see T-ara and Supernova perform the new song at the 2009 Dream Concert 2009 this Saturday, 10th October.

SHU-I Dances to 2PM’s “Again and Again”

With their debut stage on Music Bank and the release of their MV for "Bomb Bomb Bomb" last month, rookie boy band SHU-I has netizens abuzz with a recent video of them practicing 2PM's "Again and Again" .

Initially, the k-pop quintet demonstrate their impressive dancing abilities in emulating the choreography of "Again and Again". During the second half of the song, however, the boys progressively transition from serious mode to beast mode, busting out in a hilarious improvisation of their sunbaes' hit song. From Hyung Joon's imitation of Nichkhun's chest rub to Minho's saucy hip swing from "Abracadabra", the boys exposed a goofy side of them that resembled 2PM's in the rehearsal clip of their song "I Hate You".

Indeed, the rookie group may not be as advanced as 2PM in the "ssanti" department, but they did pretty well considering the difficulty of succeeding a boy band who is also referred to as "beastly idols".
